Guilty Eats

Think you’ve tried all there is to try at your favorite fast food restaurants? Think again! We’re bringing you over 70 secret menu items from the most popular locations!

When the menu at your preferred fast food burger joint or taco stop is not as appealing, it’s not time to search for a new place, it’s time to order something different. This is where secret menus come in. And at Guilty Eats, we know fast food and quick eats.

Secret menus have been around since we can remember. Food items and options not on the regular menu aren’t created by anyone in specific, it’s all a team effort. Sometimes, the employee behind the counter comes up with an idea and makes the suggestion to the customer. That person goes home or work and shares what happened, launching a new item into the world as the employee unknowingly created a new favorite.

Other times, and this is how most secret menu items come to life, it’s all thanks to a picky eater. You’ve seen them order before. You have probably even been annoyed by them. But give them a chance and listen up, they may be onto something here. And finally, a company can retire an old favorite from the menu and it begins to be forgotten by all expect a small crowd. Whatever the case may be — we love secret menus!

The following secrets are from some of the most popular fast food places such as McDonald’s and Burger King, the secret menu champs since they have so much to select from. But we’re also featuring other places like Jamba Juice and Whataburger. In many of these, we even pair a meal with the perfect drink or dessert!

These are coming in from different sources, Hack the Menu, Secrete Menus, and personal experience. Be sure to let us know in the comments which is your favorite and if you’d like to share one of your own!

McDonald’s Land, Sea, and Air Burger

What is the secret? Three meats, one burger.
Where can you order this? Only available at select McDonald’s locations.
Best time to order:  For lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: For those days when you can’t decide if you want fish, chicken, or beef, there’s the Land Sea, and Air Burger. This is one of the biggest burgers you’ll find on this list, and definitely one of the most unique. This burger is not one for the faint of heart or the picky eater who hate when their food touches. If you’re going to order the Land, Sea, and Air Burger, you better have the stomach for it.

Here’s what this burger contains: a Bic Mac patty to represent land, Filet-O-Fish, to represent Sea, and a McChicken, for Air. And yes, we know chickens don’t necessarily fly, but you get the point. In between each meat, can be your choice of cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and/or whatever your taste buds desire.

To order the Land, Sea, and Air Burger, just ask for it by name. If you get confused looks, just explain what the burger is made of (you can follow the description above) and you’re set! We’re not sure what the price of this burger is since it may vary per location.

Chipotle’s Quesarito

What is the secret? An overstuffed giant burrito.
Where can order this? At any Chipotle location.
Best time to order: Whenever you have a big appetite.

Why we love it: Have you ever been torn between two items at Chipotle? Say, the quesadilla and a burrito? Why not have both? The Quesarito is just that! Next time you’re at Chipotle (and incredibly hungry), ask for a Quesarito. The people behind the counter should very well know what you mean. But just in case you get a newbie, explain that you want a regular burrito wrapped up in a cheese quesadilla.

To further overstuffed your Quesarito, add veggies to your cheese quesadilla as well as inside your burrito. Don’t forget your choice of beans and rice, we suggest the black beans and white rice for the burrito. Also, be sure to add salsa to both your burrito and a side for dipping, because you can never have too much.  When you’re ready to check out, get a bag of chips, they’ll come in handy when you want to eat everything that spilled over. And don’t forget a drink to wash it all down! You’ll probably need a to-go container as well.

Skip the Mustard

What is the secret? Skip the mustard.
Where can you order this? At any Whataburger location.
Best time to order: Anytime.

Why we love it: No offense to any mustard lovers out there. Sometimes, mustard enhances a dish and adds that missing flavor, but many other times, it actually distracts from the flavor you are supposed to be tasting. And this is the case with Whataburger’s original burger — The Whataburger, or it’s mini version, Whataburger Jr. This is a delicious burger, and a very simple one, too. Why so simple? Well, if you ask me, the point is to be all about the juicy beef patty and toasty bun. You don’t need anything else. But for some reason, it comes with mustard. With a few subs and additions, you’ll get the most out of this burger.

To order, ask for either The Whataburger or Whataburger Jr. (it all depends on your appettite) , add cheese, and substitute mustard for mayo. Uhoh, did the calories just increase? Yes. But it’s so worth it! Finally, request for your burger to be extra toasty. You won’t regret it! It’ll taste like a brand new burger, with all the focus on the patty.

Quad Burger

What is the secret? Four times the fun.
Where can you order this? Available at any Shake Shack location.
Best time to order: For when you have a monster appetite.

Why we love it: Everyone has a fast food restaurant they rather go to than anywhere else. So while four patties is nothing new, it’s nice to know many different places have these available for you to chose from. At In-N-Out, itWhat is the secret? A wildly delicious and sloppy burger.
Where can you order this? Available at any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order:s called the 4X4 (and we share that order on this feature too), but at Shake Shack, we know it as the Quad Burger.

This burger includes the same deliciously juicy patties we’ve always had at Shake Shack, but you get four of them. Think you can eat it all in one sitting? The Quad Burger is food-competition worthy! Next time you go, why not stop by with a friend and challenge each other to finish this burger. Foodie beware: expect to pay up to an additional $2.80 per burger patty. Hey, the best things in life are not cheap.

Don’t forget to accompany this with fries and a drink. You know, if you even have room for it.

Grilled Cheese

What is the secret?  A simple treat in a very unique place.
Where can you order this? Available at any Shake Shack location.
Best time to order: At lunch time.

Why we love it: To be honest, I don’t think anyone should visit a Shake Shack for a simple grilled cheese sandwich. But, we’re not here to judge! Besides, a grilled cheese is a great vegetarian option when you find yourself with meat lover friends at Shake Shack.

And for dessert…

What is the secret?  A secret menu reward for being so good.
Where can you order this? Available at any Shake Shack location.
Best time to order: For dessert.

Why we love it: Since you only had a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch, why not reward yourself with a delicious and unique ice cream? We didn’t think you’d say no. Shake Shack’s ice cream sandwich is frozen custard between one of their grilled burger bun. Trust us, it tastes better than it sounds.

Animal Style Burger

What is the secret? A wildly delicious and sloppy burger.
Where can you order this? Available at any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: Lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: The Animal Style Burger may not be on the menu, but this is one of In-N-Out most popular requests. It comes with all the regular ingredients, but also includes pickles, extra spread, grilled onions, and mustard fried onto each meat patty (there’s two). Warning: this is not a burger you want to eat in your car!

To order, simply ask for a burger (the regular cheeseburger, 2X2, or your choice) say you want it “animal style.” They’ll know what you mean.

Accompany this with…

Animal Style Fries

What is the secret? The fries companion to the Animal Style Burger.
Where can you order this? At any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: Whenever you order the Animal Style Burger or as a snack.

Why we love it: You didn’t think we didn’t we don’t have the perfect pairing to the Animal Style Burger, did you? In-N-Out thought of everything! The Animal Style Fries are your regular In-N-Out fries with melted cheese, spread, and grilled onions. The price for these are more than regular fries, but many don’t mind paying the price!

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Frappuccino

What is the secret: Love the cereal? You’ll love this frappuccino!
Where can you order this? Any Starbucks location.
Best time to order: Any time, but perhaps in the morning since it tastes like a cereal for breakfast.

Why we love it: Who doesn’t love Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal? And even if you don’t, this is the perfect drink to get your cinnamon toast fix. If your barista hasn’t heard of it, no problem! Here’s the recipe: White mocha frappuccino, 1 pump cinnamon, dolce syrup, 1 pump hazelnut syrup, cinnamon sugar on top!

And if you really love cereal…

Fruity Pebbles Frappuccino

What is the secret: Another drink inspired by your favorite cereal.
Where can you order this? Any Starbucks location.
Best time to order: Anytime.

Why we love it: Okay, so maybe Cinnamon Toast Crunch really isn’t your favorite and you’re just crazy about all that cinnamon. No problem! How about Fruity Pebbles? Gotta love creativity! This frappuccino is actually more requested than the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one, but just in case, here’s the recipe to give them: Strawberries and creme frap, 2 pumps of vanilla syrup, 1 pump of raspberry syrup, and a splash of orange mango juice (if possible).

The Ultimate BLT

What is the secret? Arby’s secret pride and joy.
Where can you order this? At select Arby’s locations.
Best time to order: This makes the perfect lunch.

Why we love it: Now, I’ll be honest and say Arby’s is not my first choice when it comes to fast food restaurants. But it is my spot when I want to satisfy a bacon craving. Arby’s isn’t kidding, this is the Ultimate BLT sandwich. After all, which fast food chain knows meats better than Arby’s, whose slogan is “We’ve got the meats”? Exactly. And if you love bacon, which, who doesn’t, right? The Ultimate BLT is the perfect sandwich for you!

The Ultimate BLT consists of five strips of bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, all nestled between two honey wheat bread slices. You can specify how crispy you want your bacon, but extra bacon will cost you extra (prices vary). The only catch is that not all locations make this available. Shame on those who don’t!

And if that’s not ‘meaty’ enough for you, wait until you meet the Meat Mountain…

Cheesarito

What is the secret? A mini quesadilla/burrito combo
Where can you order this? Any Taco Bell location.
Best time to order: Light lunch or snack.

Why we love it: When you love quesadillas and burritos, but can’t decide, and at the same time don’t want a large meal. Picky, picky! But we understand. The good thing is that there is always something for everyone when it comes to food. At Taco Bell, you can satisfy your odd cravings whenever you please and at any Taco Bell restaurant.

The Cheesarito is a soft tortilla stuffed with melted cheese, scallions, and sauce. Stuffed, but not overstuffed. It is still think enough to be held as a quesadilla. You can select other ingredients, but don’t get crazy and definitely no meats or it beats the purpose of being a cheesarito and you’ve got yourself a regular burrito. Prices vary per location and also depending on the ingredients.

Meat Mountain

What is the secret? A mountain of meat struggling to stay in place between two buns.
Where can you order this? Select Arby’s locations.
Best time to order: For lunch. And you may not be hungry for a while.

Why we love it: If the Ultimate BLT sounds underwhelming, then check out the Meat Mountain for size! This burger, if we can even call it that, is so wild, not all Arby’s offer it. How big is it? Well, let’s just say I am surprised this creation hasn’t been used for food competitions and Arby’s hasn’t advertised it as an Eating Challenge. They’d probably have a line out the door!

For starters, this bad boy is $10! And that’s for the burger only. No fries or drinks are included. So what’s in the Meat Mountain, anyway? You better be sitting down…

The Meat Mountain includes (from bottom to top) two chicken tenders, roast turkey, two layers of ham, swiss cheese, brisket, corned beef, Angus steak, and melted cheddar cheese. Does that sound like a mouthful or what? You’re probably not going to want to eat after this for a long while.

DES PLAINES, IL – OCTOBER 24: In this photo illustration, a McChicken sandwich sits with typical Dollar Menu items sold at a McDonald’s restaurant on October 24, 2013 in Des Plaines, Illinois. McDonald’s has announced it will make changes to its low-priced Dollar Menu, which includes items like coffee, small fries, hamburgers and apple pies. The new menu, dubbed the Dollar Menu and More, will offer some higher priced options such as the grilled Onion Cheddar Burger and a McChicken sandwich. McGriddle Chicken

What is the secret? Crispy chicken between two McGriddles, a nice shake-up from the regular McGriddles.
Where can you order this? At select McDonald’s locations.
Best time to order: Breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even dinner.

Why we love it: The McGriddle Chicken can’t be ordered at just any McDonald’s. Since chicken is not available during breakfast hours, you’ll have to stop by after 11 a.m. (or whatever time the McDonald’s nearest you stops serving breakfast). And it has to be a location that serves breakfast after breakfast hours, which should be just about every McDonald’s by now. But just in case, find a location that offers select breakfast menu items all day long. This way, both chicken and McGriddle bread are available at the same time.

What you do next is up to you. If you enjoy a breakfast meal at any time of the day, dip your McGriddle Chicken in sweet syrup and enjoy — chicken and waffles style! Otherwise, ketchup will work just fine if you’re having this for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

Starbucks’ Colors of the Rainbow

What is the secret: It began with the Pink Drink.
Where can you order this? Any Starbucks location.
Best time to order: Anytime you want to refresh.

Why we love it: I’m pretty sure we all still remember when Starbucks’ Pink Drink took over social media. This beautiful drink could be spotted on everyone’s Instagram accounts and those who didn’t have it on their profile wanted one. It was so popular in the beginning, that locations began to run out of the ingredients to make it. And it’s just as beautiful as it us delicious! While your barista should know how to create all of the following, we’ve included the recipes for you, just in case…

  • Pink Drink — The one that started it all. A strawberry Acai Refresher with no water, sub coconut milk, and additional strawberries or blackberries.
  • Green Drink — Just as sweet as a regular green tea thanks to matcha. An iced black tea with no water, sub coconut milk and matcha. This one is the most sweet of the bunch.
  • Orange Drink — If you’re looking for the most refreshing colorful drink, the Orange Drink is it. It’s orange because of its base of orange mango juice and creamy thanks to vanilla. Ask for orange mango juice with vanilla bean powder and a splash of coconut milk.
  • Blue Drink — An iced passion tango tea (which is delicious own its own as is) with no water, sub soy milk and add vanilla syrup.
  • Purple Drink — Taste close to how the Blue Drink does, but this one has blackberries. Ask for an iced passion tango tea with no water, sub soy milk, vanilla syrup, and blackberries for color.

Bacon Beef ‘n Cheddar

What is the secret? Bacon making everything better.
Where can you order this? Any Arby’s location.
Best time to order: Whenever you’d like!

Why we love it: The secret is simply adding bacon to any sandwich you order. However, Hack the Menu suggest you do this with the Beef ‘n Cheddar for a combination you won’t regret. There’s something about that melted cheddar that is perfected with crispy bacon bits! Arby’s is pretty stingy with their bacon, though, so expect an up-charge.

You may also want to try…

Jr. Deluxe

What is the secret? A Jr. take on an original.
Where can you order this? Any Arby’s location.
Best time to order: Best as a small bite, light lunch, or snack.

Why we love it: Another small secret that can make a huge difference is Arby’s Jr. Deluxe. This sandwich is a lighter take on Arby’s Roast Beef sandwich. It may be Jr. size, but sometimes that’s all you need, especially if you aren’t looking for a big meal. The Jr. Deluxe is a sesame seed pair of buns lightly stuffed with roasted roast beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo.

The Flying Dutchman

What is the secret? A Double Double, hold the bun.
Where can you order this? At any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: Lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: Here’s a unique one! For $2.10 at In-N-Out, you can order a burger with two beef patties with melted cheese in between. No buns, lettuce, or tomato. Not even spread. That, my friends, is called The Flying Dutchman! You can requests tomatoes and other ingredients, but it would get pretty messy.

Pair this with…

Root Beer Float

What is the secret? A root beer float, In-N-Out style!
Where can you order this? Limited In-N-Out locations.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: Did we say root beer FLOAT? We meant milkshake. But hear us out! It’s actually really good if you’re into root beer floats! Because summer days are hot and there is nothing ‘cooler’ than a shake, why not at Root Beer to said shake?

Here’s the only catch, okay, there’s actually two. One, they may not agree to do it for you because some may consider this to be an odd request and don’t want to get in trouble. And two, you may not like it and you’ll walk out unhappy and $2.10 out.

Chipotle’s Burritodilla

What is the secret? A combinations of a Chipotle burrito and a quesadilla.
Where can you order this? At select Chipotle locations.
Best time to order? This makes the perfect lunch.

Why we love it: Although the Chipotle’s Burritodilla sounds like the Mother of all Burritos, don’t let its mouthful name fool you! This Burritodilla is actually significantly smaller than a regular Chipotle burrito. It’s essentially a stuffed quesadilla.

To order, ask for the meat quesadilla, but to be rolled like a burrito and grilled like a quesadilla. Sounds simple enough? It is! But, unfortunately, not ever location is cool with it.

Not enough for you?

Double Wrapped Burrito

What is the secret? Just as it sounds.
Where can you order this? At any Chipotle location.
Best time to order? Lunch.

Why we love it: If the Burritodilla isn’t going to cut it for you, order yourself a Double Wrapped Burrito! Two is better than one! Having a bigger appetite than a small Burritodilla can’t fill? Kindly ask for your burrito to be wrapped in one tortilla as apposed to one. Psst! Bonus: This is free!

Protein Burger

What is the secret? A burger that ditches the buns.
Where can you order this? At any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: Perfect for lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: You’ve seen these “healthier” burger options at other restaurants, but In-N-Out has them too! The secret is simple, the Protein Style Burger swaps the buns for a lettuce wrap. Saying goodbye to the bread doesn’t mean the price will be any cheaper though, but at least it stays the same to the burger you pick out. And if you’d like, you can even take another healthy step and request no mustard or cheese and only include lettuce, patties, and tomatoes.

And for a side…

Cheese Fries

What is the secret? Cheese fries, duh!
Where can you order this? At any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: To accompany any order or as a snack.

Why we love it: Reward yourself for choosing a healthy burger with In-N-Out’s cheese fries! I mean, sure, this pretty much cancels out the burger, but it’s worth it. The cheese fries are your regular In-N-Out fries but with deliciously warm melted cheese on top. Prices vary per location, but are approximately $3.10.

Monster Mac

What is the secret? A burger big enough to deserve being called a Monster.
Where can you order this? Any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: Lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: Ordering a Monster Mac is simple, but be warned that you have to have a monster appetite! Visit any McDonald’s location and order a Big Mac with eight patties (told you this was a monster eat). If you’re not feeling up for the challenge, that’s fine! You can still treat yourself to a baby monster by ordering your Big Mac with less patties, such as four or five, you get the picture.

And for dessert…

Hot Caramel Sundae

What is the secret? A Caramel Sundae with apple bites.
Where can you order this? Any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: For dessert or a snack.

Why we love it: This is another fun spin to the regular sundae/ice cream options at McDonald’s. Order a Hot Caramel Sundae with a side of apple slices. Trust me, the crunch from the apple bites makes a difference and it’s worth paying extra for the apple slices.

Triple Down

What is the secret?  An extra piece of chicken in the Double Down.
Where can you order this? Available at any KFC location.
Best time to order: For when you’re really, really hungry.

Why we love it: The Double Down at KFC was so popular when it came out, it was on the news and advertised as one of their most popular creations. But to several foodies, that simply wasn’t enough as they demanded more food. Well, even though this didn’t make it to the menu, KFC’s Triple Down is still widely known and waiting for you to order it. This sandwich is arguably big enough to share, but that would be a waste, wouldn’t it? Instead, be greedy and order it for yourself!

Just as it sounds, the Triple Down is essentially an extra piece of chicken and extra cheese. Just a heads up though, adding chicken and cheese reportedly cost you 1.5x the price of a Double Down. But, my friends, it’s so worth it. And in case you get a newbie at the counter who has yet to hear about the Triple Down, just kindly explain. You can also be daring and add other ingredients such as bacon. But that will likely cost extra.

Winter Starbucks Drinks

What is the secret: Winter and Christmas inspired drinks.
Where can you order this? Any Starbucks location.
Best time to order: During the winter season.

Why we love it: It may only be August, but time flies and winter will be here before you know it. And with it, Christmas! So we’ve gathered four drinks that are perfect for the holiday season, but are not on the menu. These are so tasty, you’ll be wanting winter to arrive even sooner! Most baristas at Starbucks are aware of these drinks, but if they aren’t (or you happen to get a newbie), we’ve included the recipes for your convenience.

  • Thin Mint Frappuccino — Does it remind you of girl scout cookies? It should! This is Tazo green tea creme, 2 pumps chocolate syrups, 1 pump mint syrup, java chips, and honey.
  • Candy cane Frappuccino — This one is simple to make. Ask for a vanilla bean frappuccino with 1-2 pumps of peppermint syrup. That’s it!
  • Christmas Cookie Frappuccino — We never crave cookies more than during the holidays. Something about that season brings a sweet innocence. This is a vanilla bean frappuccino with 1-2 pumps pepperminut syrup, 1-2 pumps toffee nut syrup, and topped with caramel drizzle and raw sugar. (The sugar is optional, but why wouldn’t you wan it?)
  • S’mores Frappuccino — Most may havea craving for S’mores during the summer, but not when Starbucks creates this delicious cold drink. This is a java chip frappuccino with one pump cinnamon dolce syrup, one pump toffee nut syrup, and whipped cream blended in and on top.

In-N-Out Extras

What is the secret? Several tasty and totally free additions you didn’t know about!
Where can you order this? At select In-N-Out locations.
Best time to order: Any time!

Spices: In-N-Out offers spicy yellow peppers most people don’t know about. So be sure to ask for these if you’re looking to add a little spicy flavor to your meal.

Tomatoes: At In-N-Out, you can have all the tomatoes your heart desires. The extra toppings don’t stop there. If you love onions, you can ask for whole grilled onions, because being grilled gives them that extra kick. Extra lettuce and spread are also all free.

Toasty buns: Because a bun can never be too toasty, ask for your buns to sit on the grill for a tad longer to get the crunch you seek.

Well-done fries: Speaking of crunch… If you love In-N-Out’s crispy french fries, then you’ll love their top secret well-done fries! Just like the toasty buns, simply make the request for “extra crispy fries.”

For the mustard-lovers: Love mustard? Then the next time you’re at In-N-Out, order your patties to be “grilled in mustard.” And of course, extra mustard spread. And while we’re at it, go all the way and ask for a side of mustard.

Fresh Nuggets

What is the secret? Regular chicken McNuggets, but fresh, well, you know… “fresh”
Where can you order this? Any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: Lunch.

Why we love it: These aren’t any different from the regular Chicken McNuggets available at McDonald’s, but they do taste better. According to a source, the chicken nuggets we order have been sitting there for a while on a heated surface. A timer is supposedly set to know when to throw them out and replace them with new one’s if they have been there for too long. This timer is set to go off every 10 minutes, but a former McDonald’s employee revealed that this isn’t always the case.

Many times, employees just reset the timer (often more than once), if they are in the middle of rush hour or too busy to make the change. So, to get the best nuggets possible, ask for them fresh and they’ll throw new nuggets in the heat for you. Even though that’s as “fresh” as you can get at McDonald’s, you can taste the difference.

BK Ham and Cheese

What is the secret? A simple sandwich for those simple days.
Where can you order this? Any Burger King location.
Best time to order: Best as a light lunch.

Why we love it: This is something you can created at home, but why when Burger King can do it for you. And at just $1.99, it’s an obvious choice. When you order simply ask for the Ham and Cheese, most should know what you’re talking about. But you can also ask for a sandwich with ham and cheese only.

Another simple sandwich…

The Rodeo Burger

What is the secret? Do you love BBQ and onion rings? You’ve come to the right place.
Where can you order this? Available at any Burger King location.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: Ever felt like your burger needs a little punch in the flavor department? How about some BBQ sauce to help the matter? At any Burger King, you can order The Rodeo Burger. And no, you don’t have to only be from Texas to do this. This burger is an upgrade to the regular cheese burger. It adds onion rings and a ton of BBQ sauce. Howdy.

Chipotle Nachos

What is the secret? Nachos!
Where can you order this? At any Chipotle location.
Best time to order: For lunch as an appetizer or snack.

Why we love it: These are SO good, we don’t blame you if instead of ordering the Chipotle Nachos as an appetizer for everyone at the table, you get them all to yourself!

Have you ever ordered a side of chips to enjoy your Chipotle bowl with? Of course you have! That’s the best way to have a bowl! So why not skip that step and get some nachos? This item is so popular, that, by now, every location should know what you mean when you request the nachos. However, in case you get a newbie behind the counter, order a Chipotle Burrito Bowl asking for chips instead of rice at the bottom. Then, proceed to stack your favorite ingredients — and don’t forget the sauce! For a real nachos feel, we recommend sticking to cheese, beans, meat, and salsa as the only ingredients. But hey, it’s your world.

Fun fact: Did you know Chipotle serves margaritas? Not all locations offer them and they’re not heavily marketed (which is probably why most don’t know this) but have them they certainly do! Prices vary per location, but for approximately $6.95 you can get a premium vs $4.50 for a regular margarita. How do nachos and a margarita on the rocks sounds? We thought so.

McCrepes

What is the secret? A crepe made by you with yogurt and hotcakes.
Where can you order this? Any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: Breakfast or brunch.

Why we love it: Feeling like doing a little DIY project at McDonald’s? We’ve got just the thing for you to try! And while they may not look too appetizing, they actually are! Making them is pretty easy. Simply order a yogurt parfait and hotcakes. Using a spoon, put a bit of yogurt on top of each pancake (don’t put the syrup first!). Fold in half as best as you can, pour syrup over your crepes (this is optional), and enjoy!

And for dessert…

Pie McFlurry

What is the secret? A pie inside a regular M&M’s McFlurry.
Where can you order this? Any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: Dessert after brunch.

Why we love it: This is a fun spin on a regular McFlurry, it’ll also fill you up more than the regular dessert would. It works just as it sounds — order a warm apple pie at McDonald’s and stuff in inside a cold M&M McFlurry. Oreo McFlurry’s are also available, but we prefer M&M.

Candy inspired Jamba Juice

What is the secret? Jamba Juice shakes and smoothies that taste like your favorite candy!
Where can you order this? Available at most Jamba Juice locations.
Best time to order: Any time is the perfect time to enjoy a smoothie!

Why we love it: A smoothie that taste lie my favorite childhood candy? I’m sold! Prepare your nostalgia feels for this one. At most Jamba Juice locations, you can order these exclusive shakes. Take for example the Tootsie Roll, which taste just as promised. There’s also everyone’s favorite — Pink Starburst! The sweet and juicy flavor in a smoothie? Yes, please!

Other flavors available at most locations are Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, Reese’s Pieces, Push-Pop, Now & Later, and Gummy Bear. Don’t see what you’re looking for here? Don’t worry, the kind people at Jamba Juice may still be able to make it for you, just ask nicely! Jamba Juice has enough flavors and combinations to create just about anything.

BK Club

What is the secret? Extra ingredients on your regular chicken sandwich.
Where can you order this? Available at any Burger King location.
Best time to order: For lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: This is an upgrade to Burger King’s otherwise simple chicken sandwich club. When you ask for the Burger King BK Club, you’ll get extra bacon, tomato, and cheese added to it.

And while we’re on the topic of bacon…

BK BLT

What is the secret? Another bacon lover’s food dream.
Where can you order this? Available at any Burger King location.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: Because we love bacon! When you order the BK BLT, you’ll receive a Whopper (or Whopper Jr. if you rather) with warm, tasty bacon, extra lettuce, and tomatoes. Everyone on staff should know what you mean by the BK BLT, but in case you get any confused looks, simply explain that you want extra goodness!

McDonald’s Orange Creamsicle

What is the secret? McDonald’s vanilla soft serve ice cream and Hi-C (no it’s not gross, hear me out!).
Where can you order this? At any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: As a snack or dessert for the risk takers.

Why we love it: If you’re a frequent McDonald’s goer and think you have tried it all, think again! The McDonald’s Orange Creamsicle is yet another twist to a McDonald’s dessert, because you really can’t have too many. This one requires more experimenting than most though, because the amount of Hi-C you pour is up to your liking.

To order, ask for a cup of their vanilla soft-served ice cream. Then, ask if they can pour a splash (or two) of Hi-C, or do it yourself if the soda machines are located outside and not behind the counter. But you may want to tell them what you are planning on doing so they won’t think you’re boldly “stealing” a drink. Mix it up and try it out! But you don’t have to limit yourself with Hi-C juice only. Many have commented that this also works with other sodas such as Seven Up, Coke, and Root Beer (this one makes a Root Beer Float). See what you can come up with.

Bonus tip: A strong suggestion is to do the mixing at home in a separate cup to achieve a flavor that’s just right. It’s also better to do this with a separate drink and not the one’s from McDonald’s, but instead with your own can of coke, for example.

Chicken Quesadilla

What is the secret? What’s so special about a chicken quesadilla? It’s from Chick-fil-A that’s what!
Where can you order this? Limited Chick-fil-A locations.
Best time to order: Lunch.

Why we love it: Guys, this is a chicken quesadilla, aka a Mexican favorite, that you can get at Chick-fil-A! Imagine the crispy tortilla with Chick-fil-A’s delicious chicken! Well, stop imagining because that dream can come true!

The best things in life come at a price though, and I’m not talking about financially, because we’d pay whatever the price is to have one of these quesadillas, but it’s not available everywhere. Unfortunately, you’ll have to call around or stop by a few locations (and there already aren’t even that many Chick-fil-A’s waiting around as it is) before you find the location that has this. But once you do, if you decide to do this, you won’t regret it.

The Chick-fil-A chicken quesadilla combines their char-broiled chicken with cheese between a large flour tortilla. You can even add tomatoes if you’d like. Prices for this may vary but it costs approximately $3.99.

Spicy Chicken, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit

What is the secret? The most fun you’ll have for breakfast.
Where can you order this? At any Chick-fil-A location.
Best time to order: Breakfast

Why we love it: This spicy biscuit is only sorta a secret. What I mean is that it’s known and available, but their menu only has room for the most popular items, so it didn’t make the cut on the breakfast signs outside. So if you don’t see it, ask for it anyway! The ingredients are self-explanatory. The biscuit includes spicy chicken, a square egg, and slice of cheese.

Another common Chick-fil-A sandwich…

Fried Chicken Club

What is the secret? Regular chicken instead of the char-broiled chicken.
Where can you order this? Available at any Chick-fil-A location.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: Because sometimes we just want to be average! If you feel like ordering Chick-fil-A’s original sandwich, but want a healthier version of it, request the Fried Chicken Club. What they’ll do is include more lettuce, tomatoes, and use an original fried chicken instead of the char-broiled chicken.

Wendy’s Grand Slam Burger

What is the secret:  A ton of meat.
Where can you order this? Available at any Wedy’s location.
Best time to order: When you’re really hungry.

Why we love it: Take note! This secret menu item is very important. Not because of its delicious flavor or generous portion, but because, for one reason or another, Wendy’s only has two secret menu items and this is one of them. Again, we’re not sure why, but we take what we can get and don’t waste any of it!

Wendy’s Grand Slam Burger actually is known by many names. Some call it the Meat Cube, others Dave’s Hot ‘n Juice 3/4 lb. Burger Supreme, and finally, simply the One Pound Burger. Call it what you may, though! This juicy burger is as huge as it is tasty.

It starts off with Dave’s Hot ‘n Juice 3/4 lb Burger, but the “supreme” part is added to its name when you add an extra patty and slice of cheese (you can’t forget the cheese!). The results? A full one pound burget when the other ingredients are included such as onions, pickles, and tomatoes.

Big Mac n’ Cheese

What is the secret? Essentially, a Big Mac with no patties.
Where can you order this? Any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: Lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: Did you think we weren’t going to include any vegetarian options for our animal friends out there? Rest assured, we did not forget about you, and this is no boring option! The Big Mac n’ Cheese is the ultimate grill cheese sandwich (from a fast food joint, anyway).

There’s the Grilled Cheese burger (a McDonald’s burger with cheese only), and then there’s this — the Big Mac n’ Cheese! However, keep in mind there is a small catch! Because of its size, this sandwich is obviously not as cheap as the Grilled Cheese Burger.

To get this, all you have to do is ask for a Big Mac without the patties. The price is the same as a regular Big Mac, though you could ask the cashier about it. Sometimes, due to being a vegetarian option (so no patty) they may be able to price it lower. If they don’t lower the price, ask for extra cheese to substitute the meat and you’ve got yourself one tasty grill cheese.

Bonus tip: Ask for the Big Mac n’ Cheese to sit under the heat a bit longer so the cheese can truly melt!

Add an egg to your regular burger

What is the secret? An egg inside your regular order, because you’re fancy.
Where can you order this? At select McDonald’s locations.
Best time to order: Brunch, lunch, or dinner.

Why we love it: If you’re feeling fancy, or simply enjoy an egg in your burger without paying the high price for it at a regular restaurant, stop by McDonald’s! And I’m not talking about your regular breakfast sandwich, where’s the secret with that?

This is a regular burger with a meat patty from the lunch and dinner menu with a warm egg inside. You can do this at select McDonald’s locations that offer an All Day Breakfast menu. Simply ask for the burger of your choice, any burger from a regular cheese burger to a Big Mac, with an egg added to it. That’s it!

Please note that adding an egg to your burger will cost you about $1.59 extra (prices vary per location). McDonald’s actually has four kinds of eggs to select from — round egg, folded egg, scrambled egg, and egg white. What you pick is up to your taste buds!

Biscuits and Gravy

What is the secret? Regular biscuit covered in gravy.
Where can you order this? At select McDonald’s locations.
Best time to order: This works as a snack, but can also to the job for lunch, dinner, or as an appetizer.

Why we love it: Not every McDonald’s fast food location has this delicious treat available. You may want to call first or stop by if it’s not too out of your way. To order, simply as for biscuits and gravy. They’ll either know what this is right away or not have it available. If you’re lucky and are able to order this, you can have Biscuits and Gravy as an appetizer to share. Or don’t and enjoy it all to yourself. We don’t judge.

And for dessert…

McLeprechaun Shake

What is the secret? A shake with a blend of Shamrock shake and chocolate.
Where can you order this? At any McDonald’s location, but ONLY in the month of March.
Best time to order: As a snack or dessert.

Why we love it: Limited availability alert! Mark this one down to order in March, because you don’t want to miss it. When March rolls around and the Shamrock Shake becomes part of the regular menu, order a blend of their regular chocolate shake and Shamrock Shake to get this tasty little number!

Free Chipotle Extras

What is the secret? Extra ingredients you can get free of charge.
Where can you order this? At any Chipotle location.
Best time to order: Whenever you’re hungry?

Why we love it: Annoyed of being told guacamole is extra when you already know this and are more than willing to cough up the extra coins for it? Well, unfortunately, I’m not here to tell you how to get free guacamole. While guacamole will always cost extra, there are several other ingredients you can load up to your order that are free of charge!

Tortillas and taco shells: When you order a burrito bowl, request up to two tortillas (or taco shells) alongside your bowl. Enjoy making your own tacos or just adding chewy tortilla bits.

Fajita veggies and salsa: Feel free to add as many fajita veggies to anything you order as you want! It’s free. And you also don’t have to limit yourself to one salsa. Ask for two, all three, and as much as you want.

Cilantro: Wouldn’t you agree that cilantro is often that one missing ingredient that adds the extra flavor you were seeking? So does Chipotle! That’s why you can request fresh cilantro for free.

3X3 and 4X4

What is the secret? Two burgers that put In-N-Out’s Double Double to shame.
Where can you order this? At any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: Lunch or dinner (or both?).

Why we love it: If In-N-Out’s Double Double simply isn’t cutting it for you, then the burger you need to be ordering is the 3X3 or the 4X4. It’s pretty self-explanatory. These burgers include either three or four juice meat patties instead of two (as well as lettuce, tomato, and cheese). Our advice? Don’t jump into the 4X4 without giving the 3X3 a shot, first. Because if you can’t handle three patties, four will be overwhelming.

And for dessert…

Neapolitan Milkshake

What is the secret? A three flavor milkshake.
Where can you order this? At any In-N-Out location.
Best time to order: To accompany your lunch or as a snack.

Why we love it: Want the best of all three worlds? We thought so. At In-N-Out, you can order the Neapolitan Milkshake, which consists of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. The best part is that, since you’re not requesting a larger size (unless you want to), the price of this shakes is the same as a regular shake. And if you’re not feeling like trying all three flavors at the same time, ask for two!

Loaded Grilled Breakfast Sandwich

What is the secret? Jack’s Grilled Breakfast Sandwich loaded up with more ingredients.
Where can you order this? Any Jack in the Box location.
Best time to order: Recommended for breakfast, but if you load it up enough I’d say lunch.

Why we love it: The original sandwich comes with two fried eggs, two slices of ham, two strips of bacon, and two slices of melted cheese. Seems loaded up already, doesn’t it? But for a few more dollars, you can request the Loaded Grilled Breakfast Sandwich and add more turkey or sausage. Or even more of the ingredients that already come with it. It’s up to you!

And for dessert…

Mint Oreo Cookie Shake

What is the secret?  A minty flavor to the regular Oreo Cookie Shake.
Where can you order this? Only available in select Jack in the Box locations.
Best time to order: To accompany your meal or as a snack.

Why we love it: Jack in the Box had us at “Oreo Cookie” Shake, but mint really is the cherry on top! This is the perfect shake for the summer. Some locations even have this drink on the menu, but if you don’t see it, there’s no reason the can’t make it for you.

Barnyard Burger

What is the secret: Meat lovers dream, vegetarian’s nightmare.
Where can you order this? Any Wendy’s location.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: This is Wendy’s second and final secret menu item, so they at least make it available in all locations. Why is this the ultimate meat lovers dream and a vegetarian’s nightmare? You can probably imagine why, but we’re about to tell you. The Barnyard Burger isn’t an addition to an existing Wendy’s burger, or a substitution, it is its own big deal .

We all know the barnyard can get a little sloppy, and so can this burger so be sure not to eat it in the car. If you can’t wait, we understand, but dine in. The Barnyard Burger consists of a chicken patty, a beef patty, crispy bacon, two slices of cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. All nestled between two toasty buns. This burger also used to include ham, but we’re not sure Wendy’s has brought ham back to its restaurants after discontinuing the ingredient. You’ll have to call to investigate.

Bonus tip: Ask for the burger to sit on the grill longer for a toasty flavor.

French Dip Max

What is the secret? Twice the fun of a regular Arby’s french dip sandwich.
Where can you order this? Available at most Arby’s locations.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: Because two is better than one, Arby’s French Dip Max includes 7 ounces of roast beef with two slices of melted Swiss cheese. This is twice the ingredients of a regular french dip. This comes with a side of french dip sauce. This is a popular secret menu item so most Arby’s locations will know what you’re talking about when you order. If not, simply ask for twice the meat and cheese. Prices vary per location.

Another spin on a favorite…

Turkey Classic Sandwich

What is the secret? Just as it sounds!
Where can you order this? Any Arby’s locations.
Best time to order: Lunch.

Why we love it: You’ve heard of Arby’s Classic Roast Beef Sandwich, this is essentially that, but with sliced turkey instead. This item actually used to be on their menu, but was replaced for other options. However, the staff will happily put this together for you (prices vary) if you ask.

Veggie Whopper

What is the secret? The vegetarian version of Burger King’s Whopper.
Where can you order this? Available at any Burger King location.
Best time to order: Best to enjoy for lunch.

Why we love it: Don’t worry, we still haven’t forgotten about our veggie secret-menu seekers. Now, the Whopper may be Burger King’s most popular sandwich, so consider the Veggie Whopper its less-famous cousin. If you’ve been curious about trying the Whopper, but you’re a vegetarian, this is your chance! And the best part is that you don’t have to call ahead or ask if this item is available because every Burger King location has this.

The Veggie Whopper has the same toppings and spread as the regular Whopper, but has a vegetarian patty instead of a beef one. It’s very juicy and recommended whether you are vegetarian or not!

Chicken and Pancakes

What is the secret? Whataburger’s fun take on chicken and waffles.
Where can you order this? Available at any Whataburger location, but limited times only.
Best time to order: This is only available between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m.

Why we love it: Whataburger doesn’t serve waffles, so this is the next best thing. But hey, we’re not complaining! These are absolutely delicious!  Chicken and pancakes still packs the crunch you need and the sweetness you seek with their combination of crispy chicken and soft syrup. This is only available at certain times, so plan accordingly.

You can also try…

Whatahash Burger

What is the secret? Hash browns…inside your burger!
Where can you order this? All locations have hash browns, but check what time as it varies per restaurant.
Best time to order:  For breakfast or a late dinner.

Why we love it: Who doesn’t love hash browns? Ever thought of adding Whataburger’s hash browns to your favorite Whataburger breakfast burger? It’s as delicious as you imagine and the perfect way to start your morning. Don’t forget a coffee!

Mustard Whopper

What is the secret? Another unique take on the Burger King Whopper.
Where can you order this? Available at all Burger King locations.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: We present two spins on the BK Whopper, this is one of them. If you love the tangy flavor of mustard, this one burger is for you. The Mustard Whopper subs all mayonnaise with mustard. The switch may seem simple enough, but it makes a huge difference in how the burger taste.

Frings

What is the secret? Fries for the undecided.
Where can you order this? Any Burger King location.
Best time to order: To accompany your meal or alone as a snack.

Why we love it: Can’t decide between regular fries and onion rings? You don’t have to! There are already to many decisions in the world we have to make, why does this have to be one of them? Get the best of both worlds and order the Frings — half fries, half onion rings.

Suicide Burger

What is the secret? A dangerously delicious burger.
Where can you order this? Available at any Burger King location.
Best time to order: For lunch or dinner.

Why we love it: This is the ultimate burger for fans of melted cheese on beef patties on top of patties! If your mouth is watering already, then you know you’ve found the secret menu item that was meant for you! The Suicide Burger isn’t for the faint of heart, and definitely not for those who aren’t looking to have a large meal or want to enjoy a dessert after. Trust me, there will be no room left for anything else.

The Suicide Burger consists of not one, not two, but four beef patties! In between each is a slice of warm cheese, a top-secret sauce, and at the top are two crispy bacon strips! Guarding all of these juicy (and crispy) ingredients are two sesame seed buns who can barely keep it together!

Everyone behind the counter at any Burger King should know what the Suicide Burger is, but it’s also known as Quad Stacker, so try that name out if they don’t know what you mean the first time.

Bonus tip: Request a side of their secret sauce for either dipping or adding to it…or both!

Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger

What is the secret? Bacon, son!
Where can you order this? Available at select Jack in the Box locations.
Best time to order: Whenever you want to satisfy that bacon craving.

Why we love it: There can never be enough bacon options. A strip of crispy bacon make anything better. Some bacon lovers even add bacon to their drinks! Now while that’s not my cup of tea, I’m not judging! So with that said, we bring you Jack in the Box’s Bacon Bacon burger. Oh, just bacon added to my favorite Jack in the Box burger, right? wrong! Okay, sorta.

The Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger includes two strips of bacon AND bacon bits on the melted slice of cheese on top of your beef patty. Prices vary per location, but they’ll probably only charge up to #1 for the extra bacon and bacon bits. However, not all locations are cool with it for some reason. I don’t know, maybe they hate bacon? Because if they already have bacon available, why not throw us a bone?

Jamba Juice Smoothies with Funny Names

What is the secret? Just as you read, these are hilariously delicious smoothies.
Where can you order this? At any Jamba Juice location.
Best time to order: Is there really ever a bad time for a smoothie?

Why we love it: Names really have nothing to do with the taste of a shake or smoothie, but still, something about a clever name stapled to a drink makes it more enjoyable. After all, do you want to respond with “vanilla” or “Hello Jesus” when asked what you’re drinking? Thought so. And to answer the question on your mind — Yes, Jamba Juice has a drink called Hello Jesus.

Hello Jesus is made with peach juice, soy milk, 3 scoops of lime sherbet, 1 scoop orange sherbet, and one scoop of strawberries! And, of course, ice! Did the soy milk inclusion throw you off a bit? Same. But we’ve got other funny named smoothies such as, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Raspberry Rainbow, San Diego, Strawberry Pina Colada, Simply Red, Thank You Jesus (yes, another one), and Sunny Delight.

Thirsty for a smoothie now, aren’t ya?

KFC’s Build Your Own Bowl

What is the secret? Because sometimes only YOU know what you want.
Where can you order this? Available at most KFC locations.
Best time to order: For lunch.

Why we love it: The bowls at KFC are very popular, some may say it’s their hottest item (well, aside from the chicken orders, of course). We don’t disagree, they’re pretty delicious! The KFC bowl consists of creamy mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and bit-seized chucks of cripsy chicken. Yum!

But what happens when you don’t see what you’d like. Perhaps you’ve had all there is to have. Never! What you do is you build your own! Don’t be afraid to get creative when mixing your favorite chicken and toppings. KFC does have some amazing choices, after all. From mashed potatoes to fried chicken, and even fries, layer your favorites! Not every location has this, so be sure to ask and explain what you’re looking for. Chances are they’ll be cool with it.

Since you are customizing and item, the charge should be the same, but a few locations do up-charge a couple of dollars.

Triple Triple

What is the secret? Triple the fun of a regular Whataburger burger.
Where can you order this? Any Whataburger location.
Best time to order: For lunch. A heavy lunch.

Why we love it:  Two patties may be better than one, but three patties is the clear winner. The Triple Triple includes three patties AND three slices of cheese. Because why not? It makes perfect sense to want each patty layered with melted cheese on top. And if this is too much for you, you can do the same with a Double Double.

And you must accompany this with…

The Hulk

What is the secret? A drink worthy of a big burger.
Where can you order this? Any Whataburger location.
Best time to order: Anytime!

Why we love it: If you’re going to order a big burger like the Triple Triple, Double Double, or even a regular burger, you must accompany your meal with an equally powerful drink. And our suggestion for you is The Hulk, a secret menu drink at Whataburger. This drink is a combination of Powerade and Vault Soda, and it’s very refreshing.

Pizza Sub

What is the secret?  A pizza and a sub joining forces.
Where can you order this?  At any Subway location.
Best time to order: All day, any day (well, during operating hours).

Why we love it: For the days when you can’t decide between a Subway sandwich or a pizza, there’s the Pizza Sub as part of Subway’s secret menu. This used to be regular Subway item, but was removed to make room for newer additions. Well, they may have removed it from sight on the menu, but never our hearts or taste buds.

You can’t simply order this sub by its name, though. To order, you have to carefully select the perfect ingredients — but that’s why we’re here! While only you can create the perfect pizza sub that’s perfect for YOU, we have a suggestion that you won’t regret. If the person working that day doesn’t know what you mean, ask for a sub with spicy pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and veggies of your choice. Bacon works too if you’d like!

Peanut Butter and Bacon

What is the secret? Possibly the most unique burger in this secret menu featue.
Where can you order this? All Shake Shack locations.
Best time to order: Lunch.

Why we love it: You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t love unique foodie finds. While most people are happy with any or all items on the menu, you seek adventure and new flavors for your taste buds. Well, Shake Shack’s Peanut Butter and Bacon burger is just that.

Peanut butter addicts welcome home! There really isn’t anything you can’t add peanut butter to. This is a very popular burger created by the Shake Shack company itself. The burger was removed after concerns about peanut butter allergies. So if you order, it’s at your own risk. It’s Shake Shack’s regular burger (regular=boring, always), but with peanut butter sauce. But that’s not it! We haven’t forgotten about the bacon! After all, a crispy crunch is everything.

Shack-cago Burger

What is the secret? Because sometimes a hot dog won’t cut it.
Where can you order this? Limited Shake Shack locations.
Best time to order: For lunch of dinner.

Why we love it: You already know about Shake Shack’s popular hot dogs. But did you know you can have everything included in the hot dog but in a burger version? Well, at Shake Shack, you can! This spin on the hot dog is called the Shack-cago burger. Now, most locations are willing to put together this creation for you, so you may want to call ahead to be sure you don’t make the drive to your nearest Shake Shack for no reason.

To order, ask for a regular ShakeBurger but say that you want to select very different toppings. These toppings are the Shack-cago Dog toppings. Things can get messy, and you may not love it as much as other sandwiches, which is why, oftentimes, the staff refuses to make them.

And there you have it! Over 70 unique secret menu items from all your favorite fast food restaurants! Which one are you most excited to try out? Did we miss any popular secret menu options? Let us know in the comments!
