We’re ranking the best of the best donuts ever to have been (or currently are) available at Dunkin Donuts! Which one has been your all-time favorite?

When it comes to a great and delicious donut, Dunkin Donuts remains the undefeated champ! Sure, sometimes one from a local bakery or even another massive donut retailer, such as Krispy Kreme, has a mouth-watering donut fans can’t refuse. But Dunkin Donuts has no “maybes,” you can always count on them to send your taste buds flying with flavor.

From their classic donuts to their creative and limited-time offerings, we’re counting down the best Dunking Donuts has to offer. For our ranking, we leaned more towards the side of traditional taste rather than crazy combinations. But don’t worry, we tried not to leave anything iconic behind.

Let’s get started! Here are the top 10 best Dunkin Donuts of all-time!

#10 The Oreo cookie donut

More from Snacks

You may or may not remember this limited-time donut. It made its grand debut a few years back and was available for quite a while. If you ask me, I’m not sure why it was ever removed from shops. Or was it?

Depending on your location, you may still be able to find this donut around. I sure have! In fact, though I don’t see it all the time, when I walk into a Dunking Donuts shop, I find it more often than not. I think it depends a lot, too, on the baker. Some simply enjoy creating this tasty donut. Have you had the honor of trying it out? If not, you’re missing out!

The Oreo cookie donut is not a giant cookie. It’s a typical donut, with white frosting that, yes, tastes like the Oreo cookie iconic white cream. And instead of classic sprinkles, is has Oreo cookie crumbs! In a 1-10 sweetness rating, I give this donut a 9! Go out and hunt for it today to kick off the weekend.

#9 The French cruller donut

Not everyone is into this, often bland, donut. So why did we include it here? Hear me out! Sure, it doesn’t pack on the flavor, but that’s the point. While most donuts can’t be eaten along with, say, a glass of orange juice, the french cruller can!

Face it. Most donuts are way too sweet to be accompanied with many other foods. Unless you want to wait until you have finished your meal to start eating your donut, your options are limited. You can’t eat an Oreo cookie donut, for example, with anything else other than maybe coffee of milk. But a French Cruller, however, can go with anything.

If you ask me, you get the best of both worlds with a French Cruller, a donut and you don’t need to wait to finish you meal first before digging into it. But, I do understand it’s not for everybody. And in my experience, the best french cruller donuts are at Dunkin Donuts.

#8 The Blueberry cake donut

Pairing this one along with the french cruller, this is another very similar donut you don’t have wait to eat last to enjoy. However, unlike the french cruller, the Blueberry Cake donut packs on a bit more flavor.

The main reason I love this donut is because you get your money’s worth for it! After all, isn’t the blueberry cake donut just a blueberry cake shaped as a donut? Exactly! It’s like getting three cupcakes in a donut — and I bet for a cheaper price, too.

In a hurry? Simply have a blueberry cake donut along with your favorite beverage (any drink will do) and you are all set!

#7 The Powdered sugar donut

Let’s kick it back to a classic that can’t fail. Who doesn’t love a good powered sugar donut? I know I do! What this is (in case you have been living under a rock) is your average sweet donut, but with powered sugar on top.

Sure, things can get a bit messy when you have one of these babies, but I’m sure I speak for us all that the mess is very well worth it. In fact, it’s so worth it that we often forget or underestimate how messy it can really get. What I mean is that, we should know better than to enjoy a donut before work or in the car. Why would we do this to ourselves, right? But we don’t listen to that inner voice telling us not to!

What we do instead is shrug and say we’ll be careful. But are we really? No! Try as you might, the powder is going to get everywhere! And you only have yourself to blame. Hate to say I told you so! These donuts are best enjoyed when you’re not in a hurry or have some fancy place to go to (or work). Have one inside the shop or pack it for home later.

#6 The Jelly donut

The jelly donut is just as delicious as a powdered donut, and not nearly as messy. Though you should be careful the jelly doesn’t spill and fall everywhere when you take a bite, the mess to clean up after is not as bad as the impossible powdered donut clean up!

With the jelly donut, you also have a lot of options when it comes to flavor – and I mean a lot! For starters, most of these are also powdered, so you get a bit of both worlds here (and a bigger mess, so caution). But you also have to select a flavor. What will your jelly donut be stuffed with? Strawberry jelly? Vanilla jelly? It’s all up to you and what Dunkin Donuts has available at the time. One thing’s for sure, there are always jelly donuts in stock!

#5 and #4 Vanilla or Chocolate with sprinkles

It truly can’t get any more traditional than a good ol’ traditional donut with sprinkles. When you crave a donut, one of these is likely the one that pops in your head. Will you have a chocolate or vanilla? The choice is all up to you!

These donuts are often the most festive. Depending on the location, the sprinkles are different colors or are the harder candy than basic sprinkles. You know what I’m talking about. For St. Patrick’s Day, for example, the sprinkles on the vanilla were green.

The frosting can change colors, too. It may taste just as chocolate frosting would, because it is chocolate frosting, but food coloring has been used to make it pink, for example. Dunkin Donuts bakers have a lot of fun with their creations. What sort of decorations have you seen?

#3 The Glazed Donut

Not in a colorful mood, but still searching for something sweet? The Glazed Donut is your spirit…food. Many of us don’t care about decorations. We just want a sweet treat! If this sounds like you, you probably only purchase and enjoy glazed donuts, the occasional french cruller, too. Hey, whatever floats your boat! Here at Guilty Eats, we don’t judge. In fact, I feel like having a glazed donut myself, too.

#2 Strawberry frosting (and sprinkles)

We have made it to our final two! Which donut is the champ? First, the runner up — the Strawberry frosting donuts!

More from Snacks

Sure, vanilla and chocolate are iconic and traditional flavors. If you’re getting a donut for, just about anyone, you can’t go wrong with a vanilla or chocolate donut (with sprinkles). But if you already know your donuts, you are aware that there’s just something about that strawberry frosting that makes it stand out from most.

The taste of the strawberry frosting is just super sweet and different than other frosting toppings. And when you add sprinkles? It is hands down delicious!

#1 Special donuts

And now for the champ or champions — this one goes out to all the special donuts Dunkin Donuts has blessed us with. What exactly are we talking about here? Limited-time donuts for Easter, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, you name it!

That’s right, no one gets into the holiday spirit than Dunkin Donuts. Speaking of which, Christmas donuts are my favorite! Sure they may taste just like vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry frosting donuts, and that’s because they are. These donuts are usually all those three flavors, just decorated and shaped for the occasion.

If it’s Christmas, you’ll find Santa or Christmas tree shaped donuts. These also make great gifts! Nothing cheers up the office at work than a box of holiday donuts. Right now, you’ll find Easter donuts — they come in the shape and decorated as bunnies, chicks, and Easter eggs! Too adorable, and delicious, too!

That wraps up our favorite donuts from Dunkin Donuts! What is your favorite donut from the popular shop? Share with us in the comments! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some donut shopping to do!
