MAD TASTY
Founded by GRAMMY-winning musician Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, MAD TASTY is an all-natural, low-calorie beverage with 20 mg of pure broad-spectrum hemp extract. It also happens to be the first non-musical product Tedder has created.
As the story goes, the product was created to help Tedder and his peers to relax, hydrate, and boost their creativity. Battling anxiety and panic attacks since 2017, Tedder started using CBD/hemp extract and wanted a way to take it every day without the bitter CBD/hemp taste and he’s not alone.
MAD TASTY also features zero sugar, while also being vegan, low-calorie and non-GMO. And on the charitable end, for every 12-ounce can sold, MAD TASTY donates 12 ounces of clean water to people and places in need through DROP4DROP.

All of YUNO’s drinks are gluten-free, paleo/keto friendly, vegan, GMO-free and are free of wheat, dairy, soy, egg, fish and peanuts, while keeping a shelf life of at least 6 months.
Mikey’s
Mikey’s was founded in 2014 when Mike Tierney noticed a growing number of companies using the claim “gluten-free” as a way to convince consumers their products were better for them. But in reality, many of those gluten-free products were actually loaded with artificial ingredients, fillers and preservatives.
Utilizing his culinary training and restaurant experience, “Mikey” used only 8simple ingredients found right in his kitchen to create his first product: the Original English Muffin. From there, Mikey’s was born. Mikey went on to expand his line into over a dozen other products crafted using the same principle of delivering nutritious products made from only simple, recognizable ingredients.
My personal favorite are the Cheese Pizza Pockets, which are pretty much a healthy take on Hot Pockets. Their crusts are surprisingly paleo while the product as a whole is grain-free, soy-free and lactose-free.
Fourth & Heart
Fourth & Heart’s grass-fed ghee uses high quality, grass-fed butter sourced from a cooperative of farms in New Zealand. Grass is naturally high in Vitamin A, D, E, K and CLA, so when the cow’s milk is rich with these vitamins, it goes directly to the butter and therefore the ghee. Just like how Mom’s nutrition goes to her baby when drinking breast milk.
When you keep your ghee clean from debris and water, your ghee is shelf-stable for up to 12 months. Hence Fourth & Heart’s products simultaneously being home-friendly, environmentally-sustainable, and delicious.
The Coconut Collaborative
The Coconut Collaborative was founded in London in 2014 as a premium yogurt and dessert brand. The brand’s mission is reportedly to make the world a better place with its roster of plant-based products. These better-for-you yogurts and desserts are plant-based and are a healthier swap to our favorite dairy products.
Its full line of yogurts and dessert cups offer dairy-free alternatives that are both vegan, gluten-free and low in sugar when compared to most yogurt and dessert brands I personally can’t imagine ever tiring of The Coconut Collaborative’s Chocolate Dessert Pots, which are Non-GMO and only 100 calories per pot.

Undercover Snacks makes sweet, quinoa-based snacks that are certified gluten-free, Non-GMO Project Verified, nut-free and kosher. Ultimately, they are all sweet and made with simple yet high-quality ingredients. My personal favorite is the Milk Chocolate Crispy Quinoa. A full bag is a little over 250 calories in total. This may be my favorite new snack discovery of 2020. And speaking of 2020, Undercover is already a 2020 NEXTY Award Winner.

These Power Packs are available for purchase on Goldthread’s website and cost $30 per six-pack.
Drink Wholesome
Drink Wholesome is a relatively new company, and it takes a simple, honest approach to protein powders. Its protein powders are made with 8 real food ingredients, including chickpeas, egg whites, and coconut, and nothing else. There are no artificial sweeteners, no artificial or “natural” flavors, no colors, no preservatives, no anti-caking or gelling agents, no emulsifiers, no stabilizers, nor any thickeners — no exceptions.
My personal favorite is the PB Chocolate Vegan Real Food Protein Powder, who officially launches as of June 15, 2020. Each bag includes 14 servings, weighing in around 1.5 pounds. Expect 20 grams of vegan protein per serving.
OneBttl
Need something put your Drink Wholesome-based beverage into? Check out Onebttl. Its “Best Dad Ever Stainless Steel Tumbler” is useful year-round, not just for Father’s Day. It is essentially a double-wall vacuum insulated tumbler, and will keeps drinks cold for up to 12 hours and hot up to 8 hours. Eco-friendly and reusable, it includes a leakproof and shatterproof lid, and its sizing ought to fit inside most standard cup holders.
OneBttl is intended for hand-washing, but it comes with a stainless steel straw, a straw brush and a gift box. All purchases through the official OneBttl website also come with a lifetime warranty.
Bedrock Bakers’ Pagels
Long Island, New York resident Steven Friedman is known to many as “The Pagel King.” Founder of the nutritionally-sound Bedrock Bakers, Friedman’s pagels — imagine a New York-style bagel, only paleo-friendly and gluten-free — are made with cassava flour, rather than a traditional bread flour with gluten.
Beyond All Elite Wrestling star MJF, another famous admirer of Friedman’s pagels are WWE Hall Of Famer Diamond Dallas Page who has gone on record saying: “Pagels are f’n amazing. Definitely a great gateway into eating Non-GMO and gluten-free, which I highly recommend.”

With tantalizing flavors like Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, you will surely find a cookie you love.
Kevin’s Natural Foods
As recently profiled by Guilty Eats, Kevin’s Natural Foods is named after Kevin McCray. McCray was an active, health-conscious college student when he was hit with an auto-immune disorder that changed his life forever. After being laid up in the hospital for weeks and pumped full of corticosteroids, the flare-ups eventually subsided, only to rear their head and land Kevin back in the hospital every few months.

- Coffee mate introduces new Eggo Waffle Coffee Creamer
- Zonin Wines: Perfect for Sipping During the Holidays and Ideal as Gifts
- Coca-Cola shows us a look at the Year 3000 in Vegas
Frustrated and defeated by those hospital stays, McCray read up on the effectiveness of a paleo-friendly diet with regard to reducing symptoms of autoimmune disorders. He decided to give it a shot, and this led to long-term success with his health and well-being. It also led to the founding of Kevin’s Natural Foods, which makes excellent paleo and keto-certified “Heat & Eat”-style entrees, simmer sauces and seasonings. The entrees themselves currently come in 8 different flavors — including Korean-Style BBQ Chicken, Cilantro Lime Chicken and Beef Chili — and are gluten-free.
Amelia Toffee
From flavors like Key Lime, Orange Blossom, to even some yummy coffee toffee, you really can’t go wrong gifting a lover of sweets with Amelia Toffee. Based on an old family recipe, the Amelia Toffee Company was founded by Anita Comisky. Its handcrafted toffee is made in a Florida kitchen, crafted in small batches. Partner brands with Amelia Toffee include Rethreaded’s Survivor Coffee, the St. Augustine Distillery and Florida Pure Sea Salt.
Speaking of bourbon, I cannot confirm whether I personally devored a full bag of Amelia’s Bourbon Toffee in a full sitting. But its mix of dark chocolate, bourbon flavoring and roasted salted almonds was unforgettable.
KOS Protein Powder
Earlier this year KOS plant-based protein announced a nationwide launch in Whole Foods Market. In collaboration with United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI), KeHE and C&S Wholesale Grocers, KOS has brought its delicious, additive-free and award-winning, organic, plant-based proteins in Vanilla and Chocolate, Show Me The Greens Veggie Blend, and Love You Berry Much Reds Blend to 400 locations of the beloved healthy-eating retail icon.
Since launching in 2018, KOS has been on a mission to reach its core audience — people who eat, of course — with a message of physiological redemption as key to healing both self and planet. My current favorite of the KOS offerings is its Organic Cacao Powder. 1 scoop has just 15 calories with one container giving you 103 servings.
Old Arthur’s Sauces & Rubs
The Old Arthur name comes from the man who developed these unique blends of flavors, Arthur Watts, who lived to be 108. Born into slavery on a Missouri production farm in 1837, Watts crafted his seasonings while preparing the owner’s family meals over an open pit.
Following the Emancipation in 1863, Watts put his cooking skills to work earning a living catering social functions for churches and cities; his reputation as a highly-skilled pit master quickly grew, earning him work throughout central Illinois.
Crafted from family recipes that have been passed down for five generations, the Pit Master’s Gift Pack is the perfect gift for the grilling enthusiast in your family. The gift pack contains 2 bottles of Old Arthur’s Original Barbeque Sauce and 1 bottle of Hot & Spicy Sauce, plus 6 signature dry rubs (Smokestack, Righteous Poultry, Stockyard Steak, Gold Dust, Bootleg and Crossroads).
It’s a flavorful gift that’s perfect for that hard-to-buy-for cook on your list.. It makes for a perfect starter kit for a beginning cook, yet even an accomplished BBQ chef will appreciate its smartly-crafted blends.

Mama Geraldine’s Cheese Straws
Mama Geraldine’s is an artisanally-crafted savory baked cheese straw with Aged Wisconsin Cheddar Cheeses. Its premium, baked Cheese Straw snacks pair beautifully with wine, craft beer and fresh lemonade alike. Said straws are offered in Aged Cheddar, Pimento Cheese, Chipotle Cheddar and Parmesan Herb flavorings; the Aged Cheddar and Parmesan Herb can be enjoyed gluten-free.
If cheese isn’t one of your favorite foods, Mama Geraldine’s also offers 3 flavors of Geraldine’s Cookies: Italian Wedding, Pecan Cini-Minis and Key Lime. And everything I have tried from mama Geraldine’s has been absolutely delicious.
Pursue Happiness Cold Brew “Cowffee”
Pursue Happiness Cold Brew “Cowffee” is a delicious blend of cold brew coffee with trademarked CLA PLUS whole milk. “CLA” is a naturally-occurring fatty acid in milk that has potentially astounding health benefits. In turn, Pursue Happiness — the makers of Cold Brew Cowffee — has found a way to increase that element by 2 to 3 times through a cow’s diet.
In addition to this healthy innovation, Cold Brew Cowffee has 20 grams of protein, low sugar content, is Non-GMO, and is both lactose-friendly and shelf-stable with no refrigeration required. Operated by fourth-generation eco-friendly family dairy farmers in the beautiful countryside of upstate New York, the milk within the Cowffee is blended with high-quality Arabica coffee from Finca Dos Maria, a family-owned coffee farm founded in 1870 in the bucolic hills of Guatemala. Cold Brew Cowffee is available in recyclable, single-serve packaging, making it ideal for on-the-go enjoyment.
Cacao Tea Co.
Cacao tea is arguably one of the world’s best kept culinary secrets. First discovered by the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations thousands of years ago, cacao tea — also known as “chocolate tea” or “cocoa tea” — has incredible mood and immune-boosting properties, while also high in antioxidants.
The Cacao Tea Co. produces and sells cacao tea which is 100 percent pure and organic. Its tea is also completely sugar-free, caffeine-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and GMO-free with no artificial flavouring, additives or preservatives. It carries a natural sweetness, a heavenly chocolate taste and aroma, and a delicate stimulating effect.
Notably, the company also has a “cacao karma” program whereby they donate a portion of profits to help provide healthy meals to malnourished families in impoverished communities in developing countries.
Flax4Life
Even though the terms “healthy snacks” seems like an oxymoron, there are exceptions that are genuinely tasty. With Flax4Life’s gluten-free, nut-free and dairy-free baked goods, you ought to feel like you’re treating yourself to a decadent dessert, minus the guilt. Plus, you get the added bonus of all-natural ingredients and a healthy dose sof Omega-3 and fiber, all without preservatives, hydrogenated fat, cholesterol and trans fats.
My personal favorite offering from Flax4Life is its Dark Cherry Brownies. Expect tart dark cherries, which compliment the rich chocolate flavor of these dense, decadent brownies.
ONE BRANDS’ ONE PLANT Bars
As covered earlier this season for Guilty Eats, ONE Brands has excellent plant-based protein bars on market under the ONE PLANT moniker. These bars bring superior taste and texture into plant-based snacking.
As made with high-quality ingredients, each ONE PLANT bar provides 12 grams of plant protein and only 1 gram of sugar. The plant line features Banana Nut Bread, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Churro and Carrot Cake flavors.
Plant-based bars aside, ONE has a Chocolate Lovers Variety Pack available online, which includes the pun-oriented That’s What Cup (think Reese’s) and Tough Cookies Only (think chocolate chip cookies) flavors. Something for everyone, no?
Daytrip GO Energy
Providing that hemp and energy do not cancel one another out, Daytrip successfully blends hemp into a natural caffeine-based beverage. In turn, you will enjoy a prolonged feeling of energy without the traditional energy drink crash. Adaptogens, vitamins and hemp work together to ease inflammation, reduce fatigue, improve focus and increase endurance all at once.
Daytrip also has a great hemp-infused sparking water on the market. Available flavors of that sparkling water are Cherry, Coconut Pineapple, Lemon Lime and Tangerine with 10 mg of hemp in each can.
Which of these food and drink discoveries will you be trying?
