With the curse lifted, Wrigley Field and the Cubs are the darlings of Chicago. Continuing the celebration, Wrigley Field hosts five top chefs in  the Wrigley Field Chef Series.

Wrigley Field is a baseball icon. Chicago is a culinary town. With last year’s epic World Series win, the Chicago Cubs are on an all-time high. New for this season, the Chicago Cubs announced the Wrigley Field Chef Series, featuring five top chefs.

The five popular Chicago chefs hosting the pop-up restaurants at Wrigley are Stephanie Izard, Matthias Merges, Jeff Mauro, Rick Bayless and Graham Elliot. These highly recognized, award winning top chefs will surely bring some creative dishes to the ball park. While the classic Chicago dog might not be on the menu, a nod to ballpark food might be in order.

Stephanie Izard kicked off the series this weekend. The newly named Iron Chef is bringing the goat back to Wrigley Field. Her three Chicago restaurants are Girl and the Goat, Little Goat and Duck Duck Goat. Everyone was anticipating how goat would be incorporated into her dishes.

According to Chicago Tribune, the Stephanie Izard pop-up menu items include:

"Korean fried chicken ($10), twice-fried, spiced chicken strips with This Little Goat Went to Korea mayo;Pork belly fries ($10);Got the Goat tacos ($13.50), goat braised in Maker’s Mark chile mole sauce with grilled pineapple salad and green sauce on tortillas;Spiced peanut butter cookies ($6);The Izard ($15), a Vienna Beef hot dog with that same This Little Goat Went to Korea mayo, spiced crispy onions and Korean pickles."

The pop-up restaurant is located at the new Sheffield Counter. This counter is near the right-field entrance on the lower concourse. The Stephanie Izard menu is on deck till June 11.

As the season continues, the other Chicago chefs will be serving their take on ballpark food. While the future menus haven’t been announced, we can speculate on the dishes. Rick Bayless will most likely offer Mexican dishes. Jeff Mauro, the Sandwich King, will offer a sandwich. Matthias Merges would possibly feature Asian flavors. And lastly, Graham Elliot will hopefully bring his Lallapoolza favorite, lobster corn dog.
