Of course Hot Pie from Game of Thrones owns a bakery IRL

The actor who plays Hot Pie on Game of Thrones owns a bakery called ‘You Know Nothing Jon Dough’ because sometimes we deserve good things.

This isn’t entirely fast food related, but it’s still a damn doozy of a story.

Game of Thrones might be the most popular show on the face of the Earth, and with that comes a considerable amount of fame for those connected to the series. Just like how bit actors in Star Wars are set for life thanks to fans latching onto them, Game of Thrones actors are experiencing a similar form of invincibility.

We might have reached peak Thrones immortality with Hot Pie. He’s a small yet extremely well-liked character on the show who in real life is cashing in. The whole point of the character revolved around hot pies and wanting to give them to Arya Stark whenever she happens to cross paths with him. Now the actor who plays Hot Pie is crossing over fantasy with reality by opening a bakery.

The actor’s name is Ben Hawkey, and he’s milking the success of Game of Thrones and his involvement with the show beautifully. The name of the bakery is perfection — You Know Nothing John Dough — and the fact that something from the fantasy world of Westeros is actively available in real life is just phenomenal.

Per High Snobiety:

"“Hot Pie’s Direwolf loaves are a favorite for Game of Thrones fans, and people are always asking me for the secret of my recipe,” Hawkey said. “I can’t share that, but Deliveroo customers will have the chance to try them themselves. You don’t even need to take a dangerous walk down the King’s Road to visit, it comes to you.”"

Sometimes the world is cruel, dank and hopeless. Then there are times like this, where a Game of Thrones character with aa cult-like following brings hot pies to the masses.

It’s times like this where being alive is pretty alright.
