McDonald’s has announced it will make changes to its low-priced Dollar Menu, which includes items like coffee, small fries, hamburgers and apple pies. The new menu, dubbed the Dollar Menu and More, will offer some higher priced options such as the grilled Onion Cheddar Burger and a McChicken sandwich. McDonald’s Orange Creamsicle
What is the secret? McDonald’s vanilla soft serve ice cream and Hi-C (no it’s not gross, hear me out!).
Where can you order this? At any McDonald’s location.
Best time to order: As a snack or dessert for the risk takers.
Why we love it: If you’re a frequent McDonald’s goer and think you have tried it all, think again! The McDonald’s Orange Creamsicle is yet another twist to a McDonald’s dessert, because you really can’t have too many. This one requires more experimenting than most though, because the amount of Hi-C you pour is up to your liking.
To order, ask for a cup of their vanilla soft-served ice cream. Then, ask if they can pour a splash (or two) of Hi-C, or do it yourself if the soda machines are located outside and not behind the counter. But you may want to tell them what you are planning on doing so they won’t think you’re boldly “stealing” a drink. Mix it up and try it out! But you don’t have to limit yourself with Hi-C juice only. Many have commented that this also works with other sodas such as Seven Up, Coke, and Root Beer (this one makes a Root Beer Float). See what you can come up with.
Bonus tip: A strong suggestion is to do the mixing at home in a separate cup to achieve a flavor that’s just right. It’s also better to do this with a separate drink and not the one’s from McDonald’s, but instead with your own can of coke, for example.
