Chick-Fil-A’s new breakfast items sound amazing

Behold, the Hash Brown Scramble and Hash Brown Scramble Burrito from Chick-Fil-A.

Where do you go for breakfast when you’re on the go? McDonald’s is, of course, the best known fast food breakfast stop, especially with the all-day angle. But Chick-Fil-A is not slouch in the breakfast department either.

And now, Chick-Fil-A is adding new items to the breakfast menu. New items that combine the best of Chick-Fil-A classic menu (chicken, it’s always chicken) and breakfast menu (eggs, tots, etc.).

The Hash Brown Scramble is a chicken and egg bowl, featuring Chick-Fil-A’s tater-tot-like hash browns, a pile of scrambled eggs, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese — and sliced chicken nuggets. (Certainly beats anything involves vegetables.)

You can also get the Hash Brown scramble in a tortilla and therefore, as a brand new breakfast burrito.

Both dishes come with jalapeno salsa. Amanda Norris, the senior director of menu development at Chick-Fil-A told Business Insider:

"At Chick-fil-A, we understand the importance of breakfast and want to provide a wide range of options to our guests who are looking for a fast and delicious breakfast. We’ve definitely seen an increase in popularity for breakfast bowls."

Adding, “It is a great fit for those seeking a delicious and hearty breakfast that is also packed with protein.”

If we’re being totally and completely honest here, the food photography leaves something to be desired. It very much looks like some chicken nuggets were sliced up, dropped on eggs and sprinkled with un-melted cheese. Which is exactly as billed, but in our heads it was so much more appetizing. Look: We’ll absolutely be trying the scramble and it still sounds so good, but the photos are very eh. So use your imagination.

Chick-Fil-A also offers a range of breakfast items featuring their incredible biscuits as well as chick-n-minis, bagels, fruit cups and breakfast platters. Really, Chick-Fil-A already offers a pretty incredible breakfast, available from opening (usually around 6:30 a.m.) until 10:30 a.m.
