42. Frita Batidos — Ann Arbor, MI
You can do the customary burgers and fries in Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan.
Or, you can go Cuban and get some late-night eats at Frita Batidos, Ann Arbors best-kept secret. Yes, this place serves up your standard variety of burgers (which are great in itself), but what sets this place apart is their Cuban menu, which is simply out of this world. There aren’t a lot of Cuban restaurants in Ann Arbor, so finding one that’s both good and open late will be a joy.
So comfort your late night drink cravings with a helping of some of the best Cuban food you’ll ever eat north of Miami.

41. My Way Tavern — Raleigh, NC
OK, let’s get something out of the way early — for Raleigh to be home to North Carolina State University, there are sure not a lot of places that are open late at night to eat, well, unless you count cook-out and you friendly chain fast food joints.
That’s a sad reality in a lot of ways because Raleigh has grown to be not just a major university town, but a major city and all major cities require a dining scene that’s open late at night to the drunken students of Wolfpack Nation.
Fortunately, we found a place where the students who room downtown Raleigh’s growing bar scene can stumble in for some good old fashion NC food. That place is the My Way Tavern, a place where you will get the best comfort food at 1:30 am that your stomach can take, from burgers with Jim Beam Maple Bacon Jam to Southern-style pimento cheese & jalapenos.
You know us southerners love our pimento cheese at 1:30 in the morning.
