Everything you need to know in order to get a free chicken entree from Chick-Fil-A. Where, when and how!
Want some free Chick-Fil-A? I know that was a dumb question, of course, you do. Well on July 10, you can, but there’s a tiny catch…
… you have to dress up like a cow.
On Cow Appreciation Day, if you show up to your local Chick-Fil-A dressed like a cow between the opening hours and 7 pm you will receive a special treat — for free.
According to the official Chick-Fil-A website if you come dressed in “your cow costume or any sort of cow apparel” you will receive a free chicken entree.
This is the 14th year that the fast-food chain has hosted the event at over 2200 hundred locations around the world and reportedly over 1.8 million customers participated last year.
The best part? You can get free food with just a little bit of cow apparel (like a headband, bracelet, or even just a painted face).
The chicken chain is known for using cows in its campaigns urging people to “eat mor chikin” in a humorous attempt to steer people from eating beef. The award-winning marketing campaign is marking it’s 22nd anniversary this year.

Some the free entrees that you can get for free on Cow Appreciation day include the Original Chicken Sandwich, seasonal Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich, or if you come for breakfast, the Egg White Grill. Children will be eligible to receive a free Kid’s Meal. Unfortunately, salads will not be eligible for the free entree on Cow Appreciation Day this year. (A full list of redeemable menu items are here.)
Official Cow Appreciation day takes place on July 10, 2018, so you’ve still got a few weeks to plant the most amazing cow outfit that you’ve ever seen!
