The UK has unveiled Oreo Joy Fills, an alternative to the classic Oreo. Should we have them over here in the US or should they stay in the UK where they belong?

Look there is no doubting that we all love a good Oreo cookie. The classic sandwich cookie with its chocolate wafer and smooth creamy filling is a firm favorite of the nation. You can dunk it, you can twist it, you can nibble on it, you can eat all in one go, there are lots of ways to eat it. But what about these Oreo Joy Fills?

Released in the UK, they are take on the Oreo cookie but are nothing like one really, a.k.a. a fake Oreo.

More from Snacks

Oreo Joy Fills are snack size little bites that resemble cereal more than anything else. In rectangular form, they still consist of the chocolate wafer biscuit and the creamy filling but you can’t eat it like an Oreo.

With an Oreo cookie, I twist and split the wafers apart, eat the filling separately, and then dunk the chocolate wafer in some milk. How am I supposed to do that with an Oreo Joy Fills? Answer, you can’t.

You feel more inclined to pour them into a cereal bowl, add some milk and get out the spoon. While I am sure they are delicious they just don’t have the same type of quality and satisfaction as an Oreo cookie.

I’m sorry but this may be one treat that should just stay in the UK rather than come over to the US. The Oreo cookie is perfect, so to use that age-old saying, why fix something that isn’t broke?

If they were to make their way across the sea and come to us, then, unfortunately, it would just be a waste of money and a disappointment. You would wonder why you just didn’t spend the money on a normal Oreo instead.
