Blockbuster Beer is not a joke, it is 100% real

Blockbuster is not dead! It’s alive and kicking, just, and it even has its very own beer now, aptly named the Last Blockbuster Beer.

Depending on how old you are, you will either know what a Blockbuster is or will have no idea what I am talking about. And then, even you do know what a Blockbusters is, you may not remember it that much and you will have especially never heard of Blockbuster beer.

I can vaguely remember the once a month treat, visiting my local Blockbuster with my dad, picking the family movie we would all watch along with getting bags full of chips and sweets.

Those days are of course long gone now with Blockbusters shutting down everywhere. This happened for a number of reasons, but pretty much the need and wants of a Blockbuster pretty much evaporated.

However, there is still one Blockbuster kicking about. Officially the last one in the world, you can find the very last Blockbuster in the world in Oregon.

So surprising there is to find one still operating, a lot of people have posed outside the store and snapped a few pictures along with the hash tag #lastblockbuster # lastblockbusteronearth.

It’s a notable achievement that one is still going, and I hope it is still going many years down the line and maybe the Blockbuster beer will enable them to do that.

Teaming up with a local brewery, they created an official Blockbuster beer, dubbed the Last Blockbuster Beer. Suitable to drink with buttery popcorn and chocolate, it’s the ideal drink to watch your favorite movie from the movie rental store.

A block party will be happening on September 21, it’s open to the public and anyone who attends will be able to sample the beer for the very time when it is unveiled.
