Lidl are bringing their UK famous Churros to the US
By Callum Gunn
It’s worked! All the pleading and begging has convinced Lidl to bring their UK famous Churros over the US! We did it, everyone!
Give yourself a round of applause my fellow food lovers, we did it. Lidl has caved in to the pressure and has decided to bring their popular UK Churros to the US. Expect to see them on store shelves on or around September 12.
The fried dough pastry snack has become one of the most popular items that Lidl, a German global supermarket discount chain, sells in the UK. They reportedly sell one package every six seconds, but unfortunately, it has never managed to make its way to one of the Lidl stores over here.

Set out along the east coast, the US has no shortage of Lidl stores so it is amazing the Churros have not made it over. Nevertheless, they are on the way now and they will probably be just as popular here as they are over there. Maybe even more popular.
Part of the Sol & Mar line, they are part of Lidl’s Spanish imports. Pre-fried when you purchase them, all you need to do is pop them in the oven for about 15 minutes and then they will be good to go.

If you fancy eating them the way they do in Spain, make sure you pick up some good old chocolate sauce to smother them in.
Price wise, you are looking at about $1.49 per bag so more than reasonable. The only downside about the Churros making the journey over to the US is like all good things, they are a limited time product. So get them while you can.
