Baked by Melissa creates exclusive cupcake to celebrate 15th anniversary of Wicked

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the blockbuster Broadway musical Wicked, Baked by Melissa has created an exclusive cupcake.

My how times has flown. Wicked, the sensational Broadway musical about the Land of Oz, but from another point of view, is celebrating it’s 15th anniversary this year, and Baked by Melisa has decided to create an exclusive cupcake in its honor.

Baked by Melissa, a New York City-based bakery, famous for its bite-sized cupcakes and treats has been around since 2008 and was founded by Melissa Ben-Ishay, with the idea that people should be able to taste as many flavors as possible without the guilt of eating too much.

The exclusive Wicked cupcake is comprised of green vanilla cake and icing, sugar crystals which are also green, and fudge stuffing, which we cannot tell if it is green or not. They come in bite-sized treat sizes and are to feature in the Baked by Melisa Halloween line up.

They are to be available in all 14 stores and are avaible to be shipped nationwide.

A portion of the proceeds from the Wicked cupcake sales is to be donated to charity. Donations are to be sent to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and A BroaderWay.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS helps everyone in the entertainment and performing arts industry. They are the largest single support of The Actors Fund, Broadway cares also awards grants to more than 450 AIDS and family service organizations.

A BroaderWay is dedicated to developing the future leaders of our world with the arts. Using their skills to address many world issues, such as social imbalance due to race, class, and gender.
