Reading the Yelp reviews for this greasy spoon, and one will come away with the fact that this may be the best diner in all of Atlanta.

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta has come a long way. From being a southern backwater to morphing into a thriving metropolis, Atlanta’s dining scene has come up along with the city. At its core, however, is a city that still clings to its southern roots, and that is reflected in the longstanding greasy spoons that dot Atlanta’s older neighborhoods.

One such greasy spoon is Stem’s Cafe, which still sells its takeout in styrofoam plates. There is nothing out of this world about Stem’s Cafe, and that’s the best part about it. This is a no-frills place that sells some of the best comfort food in Atlanta. For those looking for a slightly healthier option to keep up with your New Year’s Resolution, make sure you order the turkey burger, which many call the best in Atlanta.

For the non-healthy eaters, Stem’s Cafe has regular burgers which are just as flavorful and good, and for the morning, the breakfast is also on point. There’s no way around it, Stem’s Cafe is a good old fashion greasy spoon, one that closes at 4 pm and is a take-out only spot.
