9. Pie Junkie — Oklahoma City, OK

Believe it or not, there are some people who don’t like cake. We call those people “pie people,” and there is nothing wrong with being a pie person.

So, while this slideshow is dominated by the chocolate cake, let’s give a little love to the chocolate pie, and there is one place in America that could very well make the claim as having the best.

Pie Junkie.

It’s a perfectly apt name for a dessert restaurant that is crazy about pie. When you look on their website, the first thing you will see is their slogan:

“Let’s all eat more pie!”

And, really, I don’t see anything wrong with that. We should have more pie as we do with cake, because pie, along with cake, makes the world a better place. OK, let me get off of my soap box and tell you why pie and cake eaters should venture to this spot for Chocolate Cake Day.

Pie Junkie sells one of the best chocolate pies one could ever eat, and it is so good, that it may turn a cake eater into a pie eater. OK, maybe it won’t exactly transform cake eaters into pie eaters, but Pie Junkie’s chocolate pies will certainly make some chocolate cake eaters cheat a bit on their first love.
