LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – FEBRUARY 11: Snow-capped mountains stand behind the downtown skyline on February 11, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. A series of snowstorms and rainstorms in California in recent weeks have drastically reduced drought conditions across the state, with only 10 percent of the state now considered in moderate or extreme drought. 20. Lark Cake Shop — Los Angeles, CA

When one is in need of a cake in L.A., residents near and far in the Southland travel to Lark Cake Shop in Silver Lake.

Back in 2007, Lark Cake Shop threw its doors open on Sunset Boulevard, and not the stretch that everyone knows and travel’s to either. No, this stretch of Sunset was not one of the friendliest areas at the time, however, Lark Cake Shop took a chance at an area that had potential, and 12 years later, it’s become one of the best bakeries in all of L.A.

How’s that for a success story?

Lark Cake Shop is famous for their custom cakes made by a team of cake makers whose job is to make memories of the cakes they sell. They’re professionals in their craft and have attracted a wide array of media coverage, from the Los Angeles Times to The Knot, a famous wedding website, especially for one particular cake.

The Lemon White Chocolate Cake is something that few have ever heard of before, but it’s one of Lark Cake Shop’s best sellers. The combination of lemon and white chocolate just brings out the flavor and would make for a really unique, really nice wedding cake.

Heck, all of the cakes here would suit perfect for a special occasion, and, for the kicker, all at a nice price!
