2. Sweet Surrender Dessert Cafe — Louisville, KY

This Louisville dessert cafe will have you in surrender to the cake.

Sweet Surrender Dessert Cafe is an awesome name that rings very true words. ONe bit of their sweets, and you will be at their mercy, unable to scape the rich, sweet goodness of their treats.

The Louisville dessert scene has always been top-notch, even before their dining scene caught up a few years ago. Bakeries like Sweet Surrender were dishing out the best cakes this Kentucky metropolis has ever known, and this Clifton bakery only adds to Louisville’s reputation for great cakes.

Speaking of cakes, one can’t come to Sweet Surrender and not bow down to the Belgian chocolate cake, which is simply to die for. Rich and dark, the Belgian chocolate cake is their best seller and one that has put Sweet Surrender on the map.

If you’re not into chocolate cake, then this wonderful cafe has other cakes that will make your sweet dreams come true. One, of which, is the Italian cream cake, which is a sponge cake with walnuts and coconut, with a raspberry and buttercream frosting.

If not into buttercream, you can substitute it out with cream cheese.
