Everyone in Chicago knows of Sweet Mandy B’s, the Lincoln Park bakery that sells some of the best sweets in the 312. Sweet Mandy B’s sells every baked good imaginable, from pies, to cupcakes, to the best sugar cookies your lips will ever land on, if it’s a baked good, they make it and sell it.

Their best, and most unusual item, however, is the flourless chocolate cake. Yes, this is a chocolate cake that is made without flour. How is that done, one may ask? No one really knows as Sweet Mandy B’s keep their recipes under wraps. What we do know, however, is that it’s one of the best chocolate cakes one could ever eat, and one that many should try if their curious.

For those new-vegans out there, Sweet Mandy B’s has you covered as well. They have a vegan chocolate cake that is made with ingredients that will allow you to cheat, but not really cheat. They also have a variety of other sweets that are made with ingredients that won’t upset that New Year’s pledge.

While it’s awesome that they have a vegan menu, their best sweets are the regulars, especially that flourless chocolate cake. Aw man, we can taste that sweet goodness right now.
