Chick-fil-A is well known for being closed on a Sunday, but will it make an exception for Super Bowl Sunday? Is Chick-fil-A open on Super Bowl Sunday, 2019?

The biggest sporting event of the year is about to kick off and fast food chains all across the country will be open ready to serve hungry sports fans. But what about Chick-fil-A? They’re very well known for not opening their doors on a Sunday but will they make an exception for Super Bowl Sunday? Is Chick-fil-A open on Super Bowl Sunday, 2019?

Well, despite it being the biggest sporting event in the world, the fast food chain is planning to keep the doors firmly closed. Chick-fil-A will not be open on Super Bowl Sunday, 2019.

More from Events

Ever since Chick-fil-A opened their doors for the very first time the chain has traditionally remained closed on a Sunday. A tradition that started because of the founders’ religious belief, and Super Bowl Sunday doesn’t change that.

It’s something we shouldn’t be hugely surprised at really. I honestly can’t recall any specific event or holiday to prompt the fast food chain to open their doors on a Sunday, if you happen to know of one please let me know.

However, while it isn’t a big surprise that your local chain is closed on this Super Bowl Sunday. It is a huge surprise in regards to the Chick-fil-A location at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The stadium where Super Bowl LIII is going to be held has a chain inside it and they have decided to remain closed during the big game.

Considering how many people, a.k.a potential customers, would be in attendance for the game. It wouldn’t have been a huge surprise if they decide to disregard the Sunday closing policy in that one location for Super Bowl LIII.

But nope, they will be closed. Which, I suppose should be praised. The store has put their belief above the dollar.
