16. Chili’s

When one thinks of Chili’s, that iconic, slightly annoying song comes into play.

You gotta have those baby back ribs, with barbecue sauce!

But Chili’s is more than those succulent ribs, though. This fast causal chain is also one of the most romantic places to have an awesome Valentine’s Day date. No, I’m not kidding, there are plenty of couples who spend the night of love at one of America’s largest casual chains.

Founded in 1975 in Dallas, the concept behind Chili’s was to create a dull-dining service restaurant in a fast-casual setting. Chili’s was not going to serve steaks smaller than the palm of your hand, and a small blop of mashed potatoes. Chili’s wanted to serve burgers, and other Americana fares at a price that most of us can actually afford.

The Chili’s concept took off, and the chain now has over 1,600 locations worldwide, spreading their concept, and ribs, to places that have never experienced a restaurant like Chili’s before. The mix of full-and-fast casual has certainly made Chili’s a go-to spot for Valentine’s Day, as couples will be treated to great service with reasonable prices.

Now, there are some folks who will roll their eyes at Chili’s, and the question I have with that is, Why? It’s a great spot to have great ribs and other American fares, with prices that won’t cost you your home.

What’s not to like?

Oh, and we can’t forget about those drinks, which will provide the cherry on the topping to a lovely evening on the night of love.
