7. California Pizza Kitchen

OK, hear me out for a minute.

Who doesn’t love a good pizza?

Everyone loves pizza, and, arguably, Italy’s most famous culinary design ever is a perfect way to bring hearts closer together. Yes, you can go to a Pizza Hut, or order in some Domino’s and have a “Netflix and chill” kind-off night for Valentine’s Day, but if you want to go out for pizza, and at the same time showcase to your love that your heart means business, take them to a California Pizza Kitchen.

This chain of upscale(ish) pizza restaurants is not a young buck on the dining scene. Founded in 1985 by Beverly Hills attorneys Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax (whom, we believed, just wanted to get out of the law business), California Pizza Kitchen caught fire in their native Golden State. It wasn’t until the late ’90s when California Pizza Kitchen would expand their reach across America.

Now, the chain is huge and popular, and the atmosphere makes for a great date night with pizza and drinks, and so forth. California Pizza Kitchen also makes for a great place to do a Valentine’s double-date. It’s just that kind of place, a pizza restaurant filled with love, and pizza.

It’s a beautiful thing, really.
