23. La Madeleine

Here’s a nice restaurant idea for Valentine’s Day if you don’t want to do the same-old, same-old: How about taking your significant other to France?

OK, I know it’s expensive to take a flight all the way across the Atlantic Ocean just for Valentine’s Day, but, you don’t have too. All you have to do is take them to La Madeleine if there is one in your town, or near your town. I say that because there are only 86 locations of this Texas-based restaurant in America, so you really have to seek one out.

But, once you do, you won’t regret having a special Valentine’s Day at this fast-casual spot.

La Madeleine was founded in 1983 in Dallas, Texas, and they pride themselves on serving up some French flair with a country twist. It only has been recently since the chain really started to grow, and, as mentioned earlier, now sports nearly 86 locations, which is both enough to be considered a chain, and low enough to be an intimate place to have a beautiful Valentine’s Day meal.

If you really want to experience the magic of La Madeleine on Valentine’s Day, then make sure that you head to their original location at 3072 Mockingbird Lane in Big D, and make sure that you dine on some Dallas restaurant history. The other locations of La Madeleine are just as good, but none can really compare to the original.

As they say, the O.G. is always the best.

Wait? They didn’t say that. I made it up.
