A chicken and waffles pizza is coming to Papa John’s and we’re not sure we’re ready

Papa John’s next Speciality Pizza is a little out there. Will you be placing an order for a chicken and waffles pizza when it arrives?
To answer my own question — you bet I will! I’m always up for trying new things, and I love Papa John’s Pizza already, so bring it. Besides, this pizza was chosen by Papa John’s fans themselves! In a tweet (which you can see below), Papa John’s Pizza official Twitter posted a tweet asking customers to vote for the next Specialty Pizza.
The pizza choices were Huevos Rancheros, The Roast, The Un-Pizza, Hot Honey Chicken & Waffles. Guys, I’m shocked you all passed on a Huevos Rancheros Pizza! It would’ve made the perfect breakfast pizza, I’m craving it just thinking about it.
Alas, the winner is Chicken & Waffles, so let’s give it a try! When does this pizza arrive to Papa John’s Pizza shops? Here’s everything you need to know…

It’s a little too early to tell. I’m sure the Papa John’s experts are busy working on the perfect recipe for it. All we know is that this Specialty Pizza arrives “later this year.” Let’s hope it’s sooner than later so we can either love it or get it over with.
The pizza will be topped with crispy chicken and tasty waffles. Bacon, cheese, and a drizzle of honey (I’m not too sure if I’ll enjoy honey on my pizza, to be honest) will also accompany the pizza. Prices will vary per location.
