7. Once Upon a Time
What better way to spend an afternoon than by taking a step into a fairytale? And could there be a better way than stepping into TV-Themed restaurants based on Once Upon a Time? There is no doubt that while this could be a diner that looks like Granny’s, it would need to have elements of The Enchanted Forest, Neverland, and Oz in its design as well.
There could be trees growing out of the walls or the floor, green beams of light in certain places to show that The Wicked Witch, aka Zelena, is not too far away, and maybe even a few exotic plants from Neverland.
But, Once Upon a Time is nothing without Storybrooke, so the modern elements of Granny’s with its red leather booths, diner countertop, and semi-dated interior decorating would need to be included too.
A few iconic items from the show could be scattered around the restaurant. Captain Hook’s hook, Belle’s teacup, Emma’s Volkswagen (maybe in miniature form), the Mad Hatter’s hat, and Regina’s spellbook would be a few great additions that would certainly interest the fans.
In terms of food, there would need to be lasagna and meatloaf, if only to ensure Leroy has something to order when he visits from time to time. Besides that, grilled cheese, hamburgers, french fries, onion rings, and all the classic diner food would definitely need to be on the menu.
But there would also need to be a few items that represented the characters as well. Maybe apple turnovers (don’t worry, these won’t put anyone in a coma), benets to represent Tiana’s food truck from Season 7, cinnamon anything to represent Emma’s craving for the spice, and of course a big slice of pumpkin bread to represent either of the Cinderella’s that were on the show.
Once Upon a Time may be over but with this restaurant, fans could visit Storybrooke anytime they wanted.
