4. Kashi Puffs

Kashi Puffs are proof-positive that not all healthy cereal is good for you.

If you don’t what Kashi Puffs are, here’s a bit of context.

Kashi Puffs are named after the company, Kashi, which was founded in San Diego in 1981. Their famous tagline is “Seven Whole Grains on a Mission,” and they’ve had definitely lived up to that mission. The cost of living up to that vision, however, was taste.

Think of Kashi Puffs as a tasteless version of Honey Smacks, and you get the idea. This is one of the reasons why people shun healthy food because as much as it’s good for you, it severely lacks in taste. That’s not to say that all healthy cereal is tasteless, but Kashi Puffs doesn’t do anything to change the minds of the folks who think this way.

It’s kind of sad, actually, that Kashi Puffs are the devil’s gift to cereal lovers, as the other Kashi brands are pretty good. I don’t know what went wrong with Kashi Puffs, but a lot went wrong here, and, from what I know, it’s still being sold in stores. So, if you want a Kashi brand cereal that actually has a taste to it, do your best to avoid Kashi Puffs.
