3. Banana Nut Cheerios
Cheerios is an iconic cereal brand that we all know and love, and, as a bonus, will actually do some good for your heart (as they claim).
Over the years, since Cheerios debuted to the public in 1941, General Mills, the manufacture of the cereal, has thrown out different versions of those little grain Cheerios, with the first flavored version being Honey Nut Cheerios. When the makers got wind of how great Honey Nut Cheerios were selling, they decided to throw even more flavored versions out there, some hits, others misses.
Banana Nut Cheerios was clearly in the latter.
Debuting in 2015, Banana Nut Cheerios took the little round grain cereal and sweetened it with banana puree. As soon as it was introduced, it was met with skepticism, as no one was really sure how Banana Nut Cheerios would turn out. As cereal lovers took the first bite, the answer was clear, these babies were not cut out to be part of the Cheerios family, and the folks and General Mills believed this also.
So, one year after the debut of Banana Nut Cheerios, General Mills yanked them off the shelf, for the good of cereal-eating humanity, until they brought it back for a limited time. Why they brought them back is unbeknown to me, because they are one of worst cereals of all time.
