5 best burger restaurants in Florida Keys

1. Frita’s — Key West 

Key West is one of the nation’s premier party paradises, but before partaking in the ritual known as the “Duval Bar Crawl,” make sure that you have something to eat first.

Luckily for you, Key West is filled with great restaurants that espouse the Keys lifestyle, and one of the best is Frita’s (425 Southard St., 305-509-7075), which serves up what many proclaim Key West’s best burgers.

In actuality, Frita’s is a Cuban restaurant, filled with the Cuban vibe that makes Frita’s such a joy to visit. Frita’s menu is really good, with the pork tacos one of their best sellers, and packed with a tremendous amount of flavor. But, we’re talking about burgers, and there’s one that will really stand out.

The first is the Frita Burger, which puts some Cuban flavor into the traditional burger, as in, the burger patty has a lot more flavor to it than a normal burger. It’s truly one-of-a-kind, and the Frita Burger is worth coming down to Key West, alone, just to try for yourself.

This small, homey Cuban restaurant is truly a gem in the Keys, along with rest of the burger joints that are fortunate to call this slice of paradise home.
