1. Captain Marvel Cupcakes
Everyone loves cupcakes, and if there were cupcakes in space, Captain Marvel would definitely want to eat these delicious ones from Whiskey n Sunshine.
These cupcakes are inspired by our new favorite hero and sport her iconic insignia in yellow, red, and blue. You are going to need a fair bit of fondant and icing for this recipe, so get your hands warmed up in advance for all that rolling and squeezing.
Fortunately, recipe creator Jana Seitzer makes your life a bit easier by using a cake mix for the actual cupcake and leaves the decision to use multi-colored food coloring up to you. If you want to get the many-hued ombre of the cupcake, you will need to be precise and gentle with your use of food coloring. Or, you can add a single color to simplify the recipe. Either way, you’re going to get a delicious cupcake.
But the fun part of this cupcake recipe isn’t just the tasty crumb—there’s also some gorgeous frosting, which, admittedly is everyone’s favorite part of a cupcake. The frosting boasts the same colors as Captain Marvel’s uniform and will require some nifty work when filling the piping bag.
Top it all off with your fondant insignia, and there you have it, cupcakes that would make a superhero proud.
