4. Captain Marvel Cake

Share your love for Captain Marvel with your friends and family by baking them a cake. Monica of Popcorn Reviews made this delightful, and intricate, shag rug Captain Marvel cake, and so can you.

You have to start with making the cake, but Monica pretty much skips over this part, because, well, if you’re willing to attempt this cake, you’re already a great baker. Moving on!

It’s the decoration part of this cake that requires dexterity and skill, not to mention a reasonable number of ingredients. You’ll definitely want to use food gel coloring, so keep note of that, plus a few icing tools. You can’t achieve that shag rug look with a simple piping bag.

We love all the tips Monica has included in her blog that will make the process smoother, and give your cake that masterful look. She’s even thrown in a Captain Marvel star template for you to download. How thoughtful!

Creating the ‘strands’ of the rug is the hardest part of this exercise, and Monica has kindly given pointers to help you along. But there is no denying that it is a painstaking process, so if this is a project you want to take on, keep plenty of time in hand, and bring an extra dose of patience with you.

If you do manage to complete this mammoth ode to Captain Marvel (and we’re sure you will!), you definitely will have plenty of reason to be proud and well chuffed with yourself. Just look at how happy Monica looks with her creation!
