4. BurgerQue — Ft. Myers
Traveling down Cleveland Avenue (Ft. Myers’ main commercial strip) just outside of downtown, you’ll run into a BurgerQue, which has become quite familiar with many Ft. Myers burger eaters.
BurgerQue (3852 Cleveland Ave, 239-277-5700) is a small place that packs some big flavor. As their name suggests, this place serves burgers and BBQ, and the two makes a great combo. As much as I would love to tell you to try the brisket — and you should give the brisket a try — this is a burger slideshow, so I have to tell you to definitely try the burgers.
BurgerQue has two sets of burgers; there’s the regular and stackable, in which you can get a “little” burger, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can tackle the double meat double cheese, or the triple meat, triple cheese, both of which contain Angus chuck and are full of flavor.
If you’re really hungry and want a challenge, go for BurgerQue’s Real Big Burgers, which contains the best, creative burgers. Feeling like an outlaw? Try their Outlaw Burger, which contains a double Angus chuck with cheddar cheese, mushrooms, bacon, grilled onions, fries (yep, these fries are on the burger), spicy BBQ sauce, all of which comes on toasted bread.
There’s also the Gravy Train, Zito Burger, and the Jack Burger, all of which could compete for the title of best burger in Florida! All in all, if you’re on Ft. Myers and you want an awesome burger with some Que’, BurgerQue is the place to go.
Now, let’s venture across the Caloosahatchee River to Cape Coral.
