Kellogg’s have just launched limited edition Mermaid Froot Loops. What’s the catch? Right now, they are only available in Australia. Here are the details.
Rainbows and unicorns and mermaids, oh my! It seems like colorful treats are not going anywhere. If you saw the first rainbow bagel or the first unicorn latte and thought it was just a fad, you would be wrong.
Now it’s time for mermaids and it seems even big food corporations are getting in on the trend. Kellogg’s just launched mermaid-themed Froot Loops in Australia. Sorry, rest of the world. Hopefully, if they do well, they will end up at a Costco or Aldi (they are exclusively at those stores) near you.

But what makes these Froot Loops mermaid-themed? There isn’t much known about the new fantastical cereal, but we do know the loops are purple, yellow, and green and that the cereal is completely free of preservatives, and artificial colors and flavors. Toucan Sam has been replaced as well. There is a purple mermaid mascot on the box.
If you have any friends or family in Australia, now’s the time to hit them up. Maybe tell them you’ll pay for shipping if they can send you a box. Right now, these will only be around for a limited time, so get them while you can. And pray to the cereal gods that Kellogg’s decides to sell these outside of Australia too!
