Whataburger reveals their three limited edition milkshakes you may want to travel for

Whataburger has announced three limited edition milkshakes that will have many of us wanting to travel in order to snag these flavors.

What’s more iconic than Whataburger and a milkshake? How about the beloved flavor of Texas, Dr. Pepper? When it comes to amazing flavors, there is something special about a milkshake. And if you combine the delicious creaminess of vanilla soft serve ice cream and the classic flavor of Dr. Pepper, you end up with a must drink milkshake.

According to CultureMap Dallas, the iconic flavor of Texas has been infused in a Whataburger milkshake for a limited time, and in a limited number of locations. But, the Dr. Pepper milkshake is not the only limited edition shake the fast food restaurant has added to the menu.

On top of the Dr. Pepper milkshake, the two other flavor options are the Salted Caramel Shake and the Root Beer Shake. The Salted Caramel is a salty and sweet mix of salt and creamy caramel. And for the Root Beer, it’s like getting the nostalgia of a Root Beer float but in a drinkable ice cream form.

If you want to try one of these milkshake flavors for yourself, you may have to travel as not all Whataburger locations will offer the three shakes. For Dr. Pepper lovers, you can get these shakes in areas of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas (including the DFW metroplex, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio). If you would rather try the Root Beer shake, those are available in New Mexico, Arizona, and West Texas. Finally, the Salted Caramel will only be in Whataburger locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.

And yes, the shakes have already arrived in stores. I know this because as soon as I learned about the limited edition shakes we went to our local Whataburger and ordered a larger Dr. Pepper shake. I will say, I was surprised that the shake I got had a hint of a chocolate flavor to it, which I did not expect. However, this is definitely one of those shakes I will want to try a few more times before it leaves the restaurant (purely for research purposes of course).

Hopefully, the fast food chain decides to bring all three shakes to more locations so we can all try the Root Beer and Salted Caramel shakes too. And if they do well, maybe they can become permanent additions to the menu.
