#7 The Powdered sugar donut
Let’s kick it back to a classic that can’t fail. Who doesn’t love a good powered sugar donut? I know I do! What this is (in case you have been living under a rock) is your average sweet donut, but with powered sugar on top.
Sure, things can get a bit messy when you have one of these babies, but I’m sure I speak for us all that the mess is very well worth it. In fact, it’s so worth it that we often forget or underestimate how messy it can really get. What I mean is that, we should know better than to enjoy a donut before work or in the car. Why would we do this to ourselves, right? But we don’t listen to that inner voice telling us not to!
What we do instead is shrug and say we’ll be careful. But are we really? No! Try as you might, the powder is going to get everywhere! And you only have yourself to blame. Hate to say I told you so! These donuts are best enjoyed when you’re not in a hurry or have some fancy place to go to (or work). Have one inside the shop or pack it for home later.
#6 The Jelly donut
The jelly donut is just as delicious as a powdered donut, and not nearly as messy. Though you should be careful the jelly doesn’t spill and fall everywhere when you take a bite, the mess to clean up after is not as bad as the impossible powdered donut clean up!
With the jelly donut, you also have a lot of options when it comes to flavor – and I mean a lot! For starters, most of these are also powdered, so you get a bit of both worlds here (and a bigger mess, so caution). But you also have to select a flavor. What will your jelly donut be stuffed with? Strawberry jelly? Vanilla jelly? It’s all up to you and what Dunkin Donuts has available at the time. One thing’s for sure, there are always jelly donuts in stock!
