Grocery stores open on Good Friday 2019

Easter Weekend is here which means a lot of businesses will be closing, including the grocery stores. So which grocery stores open on Good Friday 2019?
If you didn’t get the chance to hit the grocery store prior to the holiday weekend, then you are probably going to be wondering who you can actually visit. With so many places closing during the weekend, there is nothing worse than heading out to a particular store only to find it closed. So, which grocery stores open on Good Friday 2019?
Unfortunately, it’s not 100% clear who is open and who is not on Good Friday. It would be nice if all the grocery stores got together and put a big sign or something up collectively stating who is open and who is not, but that is wishful thinking.

Thankfully, we do have a report from Delish, who we thoroughly trust, that tells us the Grocery stores open on Easter Sunday 2019. Generally, if something is open on Easter Sunday, they are also open on Good Friday.

In this report, the following grocery stores have been listed as open:
- Albertson’s
- CVS
- Duane Reade
- Kroger
- Rite-Aid
- ShopRite
- Trader Joe’s
- Walmart
- Walgreens
- Whole Foods
They also list the following grocery stores as closed:
- Aldi
- Costco
- Sam’s Club
- Target
However, you shouldn’t take this as gospel. Those marked as open may decide to run holiday opening hours, so shorter than normal opening hours, so it would be wise to contact the grocery store directly to double check they are still open when you plan to visit.
