Nobody knew what to expect from 2015’s Ant-Man, a superhero with a suit that can make him the size of an ant. Oh, and he can control ants, too. Surprisingly, the film was heart-warming and incredibly fun thanks in part to central protagonist Scott Lang, a down-and-out ex-con desperate to get a stable job so he could support his daughter.

Ex-cons have a very difficult time getting employment and it was interesting to see a film in the MCU actually address the issue. But it was the setup of the job that made it much more memorable—Scott was sure that he could get a job because of his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. And in the next scene, there was Scott, dressed in pink and blue, welcoming a customer to Baskin Robbins. And then the customer asks for a burger. Scott was ‘saved’ by his manager, only to learn he was being fired because of his criminal record. He did get a mango fruit blast for going quietly. Alas. But, maybe it’s a good thing Baskin Robbins found out about Scott’s criminal past and fired him because who could put up with customers like burger-guy?

As we saw in Ant-Man and The Wasp, Scott survived Thanos’ snap, unlike the Pym-Van Dyne family, and will be fighting alongside the Avengers in Avengers: Endgame. Scott will undoubtedly do his best to save the universe, and we’ll be right there with him, enjoying a mango fruit blast.
