With the summer season (and heat) in full swing, what sounds better than a glass or three of chill wine? No need to feel guilty or push the craving away thanks to FitVine wines!

Summer body sins, a hangover, and extra calories that tend to slow you down — this are the prices to pay when we indulge in our favorite food and beverages. Well, maybe not so much anymore when it comes to wine! While most wines and other alcoholic beverages cause all of the above, FitVine wines is here to give you another option — less sugar and lower sulfites per glass than normal wine.

You’re probably thinking, “okay sure, but does it taste any good?” Here at Guilty Eats, we know exactly what you mean. We don’t enjoy sacrificing flavor for something that is more healthy, either. I don’t think anybody truly does. To be honest, I’d rather have something delicious that packs on the calories than a tasteless food or beverage. With FitVine wines, you don’t need to make any sacrifices.

FitVine wines sent me some of their bottles to try out for myself, so we’re here with our honest verdict and ranking of the best flavors I received. Ranking and flavor details below:

1. Pinot Noir

Priced at $19.99, FitVine wines’ Pinot Noir contains (per 5 oz glass) 0.03g of sugar, 118 calories, 3.7g of carbohydrates at 13.9% alcohol.

From the four bottles I received, this is easily my favorite! It has hints of cherries and honey — but isn’t too fruity — and goes down super smooth, it goes well with any meal, and wines that pair with all meals are always my favorite! Great for brunch or early dinner. Or hey, it’s the weekend, enjoy a glass with your favorite new show or movie on Netflix!

2. Sauvignon Blanc

Priced at $17.99, FitVine wines’ Sauvignon Blanc contains (per 5 oz glass) 0.09g of sugar, 114 calories, 2.7g of carbohydrates at 13.4% alcohol.

This wine is very light, surprisingly so! I was skeptical about this one the most, so I’m ranking it second for the pleasant amazement. It’s so light, it’s perfect for earlier in the day.

3. Chardonnay

Priced at $15.99, FitVine wines’ Chardonnay contains (per 5 oz glass) 0.04g of sugar, 115 calories, 2.5g of carbohydrates at 13.4% alcohol.

The description for this one includes a “hint of vanilla” and boy is it there! I mean this in the best way, though. Of all the wines, I would say this is the most crisp, yet clean. This one is definitely paired best with dinner. I’d also like to note that, for its price, it’s one of the most delicious budget-friendly Chardonnay’s I’ve had.

4. Cabernet Sauvignon

Priced at $15.99, FitVine wine’s Cabernet Sauvignon contains (per 5 oz glass) 0.06g of sugar, 117 calories, 3.9g of carbohydrates at 14.1% alcohol.

This is another perfect dinner time wine with promises of “chocolate with a hint of leather.” It’s the strongest of the four, but goes down smoothly. For my taste, I felt there was just too much going on as I enjoy the simple things. Still strongly recommended if you enjoy this sort of wine.
