Putting Dunkin’s candy coffees to the taste test: Are they worth your money?

facebooktwitterreddit

In the first of a brand new series called Guilty Test, I put Dunkin’s new candy coffees to the test to see if it’s worth your hard-earned dollars!

Dunkin has long been the Gods of the flavor shot, from Vanilla Bean (my favorite) to Carmel. Sure, it may not be great in its hot coffees, but when you switch to iced coffee, you can taste the flavor, and boy is it good. With Dunkin’ having jettisoned Vanilla Bean to the flavor heavens, it was time for me to look for another shot that would be worthy of gracing my iced coffee.

That’s when I stumbled upon the candy-flavored coffees that Dunkin’ has rolled out for the summer. There are three flavors one can choose from: Kit Kat, Heath, or the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme, and the flavors are only available throughout the summer months. So, being the adventurous foodies I am, I decided to give these drinks a try, and I have to say, I was fairly impressed.

Granted, it all depends on the barista who’s making the drink, but thankfully, mines knew what she was doing. The flavors were definitely present, but it didn’t overpower the drink, and I could see myself having one of these while hanging out with friends at my local Dunkin’.

I haven’t gotten a chance to try it with the espresso or frozen coffees, but when I do, I’ll surely let you know how it tastes on my Twitter profile.

All in all, Dunkin’s new candy-coffees are a great addition to the chain’s summer drinks roster, and it’s good for either a sweet taste to start the day, or a drink to chill with friends with.

dark. Next. Can fast food really bring unity to America?

Final verdict: Worth your hard-earned dollars!
