Love Good Fats bars are great for Keto, but may not please all taste buds

Love Good Fats is another healthy and keto-friendly snack that can replace an otherwise sugar and calorie-packed craving, but will it satisfy your taste buds?

After trying out and loving Fat Snax cookies (another keto approved snack you definitely need to check out), I was happy to receive a similar product. Love Good Fats are bars that claim to provide energy, support good metabolism, and “are super fuel for your brain.” All of which I believe, but what I am always skeptical about is the taste.

First, some facts from Love Good Fats: “These keto-friendly bars have 4-5 grams of net carbs, 9-10 grams of protein and are gluten-free, soy-free and non-GMO. There are no artificial preservatives, no sugar alcohols, are low in sugar (1-2 grams), and are made of clean, wholesome ingredients such as peanut butter, coconut oil, nut butters, dark chocolate, and other healthy fats.”

Sounds delicious right? And they are! For some. I don’t think these are for everyone. Those used to dieting and would rather have a healthy snack over one that is simply delicious may enjoy these. I, however, can’t sacrifice great taste for a healthy bite. To me, a snack NEEDS to please my taste buds or I just won’t find myself craving it again.

This may also only be my preference, but I enjoy bars that are on the hard side, these are too soft for my taste. And while the overall taste isn’t terrible, it just feels too bland like an obvious diet snack would taste.

Would I have these again? Probably not, but that shouldn’t discourage you from giving these a try, especially if you have been searching for keto-friendly snacks (find them here). We do all have different taste buds. If you don’t want to risk it, though, I do suggest Fat Snax cookies! These are delicious! Make a cookie sandwich with cream cheese or vanilla ice cream and you’ll be in foodie heaven!
