There are a lot of over the top drinks on the Starbucks secret menu. And one is perfect for Halloween, as it is inspired by Jack Skellington himself.
Over the last few years, Starbucks has released any number of limited edition drinks in honor of different holidays and events, including Halloween. One of the more popular offerings of the spooky season was the Witch’s Brew Frappuccino. And while the coffee chain has not announced a holiday drink for 2019 (yet), that doesn’t mean there isn’t a secret menu item that will work in the meantime.
Inspired by none other than Nightmare Before Christmas and Jack Skellington himself, the newest Starbucks craze to hit Instagram is a Frappuccino that pays homage to the Pumpkin King with the help of a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. The affectionately named Jack Skellington Frappuccino is definitely a sugar rush, but that still seems fitting when you think about all the candy we indulge in for Halloween alone.
In order to get your hands on this particular Starbucks secret menu item, you will need to start by ordering a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino. Then, according to Totally the Bomb, ask for both a shot of espresso and a pump of chai syrup. You will then get it topped with whipped cream and java chips. And if you are feeling extra daring and King of the Pumpkin like, you can also ask that mocha drizzle be added to the sides of the cup for an extra bit of Halloween beauty.
It is important to note that these measurements typically apply to a Grande, so if you want a Venti Frappuccino, you will likely want to double up on the shots and pumps of syrup. And remember, these additions to the drink are going to raise the price, making your Venti Jack Skellington Frappuccino nearly $9.
But, if you are in the mood for a bit of a sweet scare, then this is definitely the perfect secret menu offering for Halloween and beyond. This drink is only available as long as Pumpkin Spice is in stock, so remember if you want to give the Jack Skellington inspired beverage a try, you will need to do it before PSL season comes to a close.
