This question has been asked for decades, and it’s finally time to settle it once-and-for-all — Can you bring outside food inside Walt Disney World?

Its been a question that has raised ever since Walt Disney World opened its doors to the public way back in the early-’70s. So now, it’s time to settle the question once and for all: Can you bring outside food inside Walt Disney World park?

Now, some may wonder why even ask that question at all? Disney World offers a full range of food in all price ranges which is sprawled out throughout the resort. However, even food on the cheap end of the scale (Exhibit A: The immortal Turkey Leg) can leave a visitor feeling a little bit lighter in the pockets. So, you’ll have visitors who sneak food from the outside to try to save some money.

For years, many have believed that sneaking in food was a huge “NO.” I mean, other theme park chains have for years banned the practice of hauling in outside food to get you to purchase their $36.78 burger and fries combo meal. But Pop Sugar dug into Disney World’s food policy and found something truly epic — bringing in food from the outside is allowed by Disney.

What is allowed on Mickey’s holy money sanctuary? Well, practically anything if it’s stored in a cooler and doesn’t require to heat up and it is not in a glass container. All you have to do to experience the magic of not paying $95.95 for a meal is to let a Security Cast Member know that you’re bringing your food in.

Next. Why are drive-thru lanes so slow?. dark

Now, there is one downside to this policy, which is you have to lug that cooler around all freakin’ day. Just walking around the Magic Kingdom with a backpack in Central Florida’s torrid heat and humidity is a pain on its own. Having to carry a cooler full of soda and drinks is like the 20th level of hell.

Other than that, enjoy your day saving some money at Disney World!
