When we go to the theater, the first thing we get is the movie candies. Well, what if I told you that you can use these sweet treats to tell a person’s age?

There’s no greater joy than going to the movies and standing in a 40-minute line to get a glimpse of the row of movie candies. My personal favorite is Raisinets, as the combination of chocolate-covered raisins is not only addicting, but healthy at the same time. It has long been my go-to movie candy, and I haven’t thought of the Rasinets in any other capacity until recently when and an article came across our news feed at Guilty Eats headquarters that caught our attention.

Hannah Doolin of Delish wrote a story that detailed when each movie candy hit the theaters, and it’s a pretty fascinating read that you should check out. So that got us thinking — what if you could tell a person’s age just by movie candy?

Sure, that would kind of be tough, but it would make for a pretty darn fun exercise that could drive your significant other (or a friend) practically insane! Here are the ground rules (and I’ve made the rules cheat-proof, so there are no alternates):

The next time you head for the movie theater, buy the box of movie candy that corresponds with the decade you were born. Then, your friends/significant other would have to guess which year you were born, if they didn’t know already.

dark. Next. People are going insane over this McDonald’s dessert hack

Voila! You have the perfect game to play before the trailers start, and you can add your own penalty for the one who guesses wrong. My penalty is the person would be on the hook for the next round of candy. You can use that penalty, for a very suitable fee, of course.

Are there any games you play with your fellow moviegoers before the movie begins?
