Taco Bell is winning the drink game, once again, by introducing the Baja Blast Freeze, complete with freakin’ sprinkles!

About 15 years ago, Taco Bell and Pepsi created the nectar of the Gods. The immortal Mountain Dew Baja Blast changed the way we thought about fast food sodas. No more would we be confined to the regular or diet, oh no! We would have a drink that would go perfectly with our tacos and give us the sweet respite from the summer’s furious sun.

Now, on the anniversary of the creation of the Baja Blast, Taco Bell is winning the soda game, yet again!

They have taken their famed Baja Blast and has created a new drink, the Baja Freeze, which provides the same tropical lime goodness, but in frozen form. Oh, and to celebrate the launch, Taco Bell is including sprinkles with the Baja Freeze. I don’t mind Taco Bell being extra here.

The Baja Freeze is promising to change the soda game just like its original predecessor did way back 2004. In a lot of ways, I’m surprised it took Taco Bell this long to come up with a freeze companion to the Baja Blast, given its huge popularity not just with Taco Bell customers, but for those who are craving the tropical drink altogether.

The Baja Breeze could very well be yet another trendsetter, although I’m not too hot on the sprinkles. The Baja Blast is a soda not in need of enhancements, so the sprinkles, in my opinion, are a little bit too much. However, that is a small complaint about a drink that looks like frozen heaven in a cup.

If you’ve tried it, what do you think of the new beverage? What is your favorite drink from the taco restaurant?
