Anthony Davis is afraid of the dark, so Ruffles hooked him up
By Kareem Gantt
For admitting he was still afraid of the dark, Ruffles hooked up Lakers star Anthony Davis with a locker full of late-night snacks.
Anthony Davis came out on Instagram recently, proclaiming that he was still afraid of the dark. Thanks to that admission, Ruffles, the iconic potato chip maker, decided to fill his locker with late-night chips of all sorts of flavors.
It seems as if being afraid of the dark certainly has its perks. It seems that the reason why Davis is still afraid of the dark is that he watches “too many scary movies.” To this day, the Lakers superstar said he still sleeps with a light on.
So, Ruffles decided to hook Anthony Davis up with a locker full of Ruffles potato chips, including the new Glow Bag, in which all you have to do is point your flashlight to the bag, and it will — wait for it — glow!
Take that, Lays! Ruffles bags glow in the dark, what can your bags do?
Ruffles sent us a video of how the Glow Bags worked, and I have to say, it was a pretty creepy video. The Glow Bags certainly would have been gold for Halloween, but it can be used all year-long.
Are you a late-night eater and hate to cut on the light, like me? Well, just shine your cellphone light in the direction of the chip cabinet, and there will be Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips, eerily shining in all of its glory, ready for you to consume.
Again, take that, Lays!
I have to admit, the Ruffles Glow Bag is a pretty cool invention. It brings a lot of fun to your late-night chip experience, and will also give you the grand opportunity to freak out your family member/friend who is afraid of the dark, just like Anthony Davis.
Yea, he will never live this down.
What do you think of Ruffles offering a glow-in-the-dark chip bag? Would you go out of your way to pick up one of these bags of chips? Tell us what you think in the comments.
