If you have ever lived in New York City (or if you still do), then you understand the struggle of decorating for the holidays. And Breckenridge Brewery wants to help.

When it comes to holidays in NYC, we have all seen the movies and TV shows where you watch the hero or heroine struggling to get the Christmas tree up multiple flights of steps or into a crowded subway. And it seems that Breckenridge Brewery feels the pain of the common New Yorker and wants to help.

Considering only about 22 percent of New Yorkers have a car to begin with, it can be a hassle to put up a Christmas tree if you live in NYC. But this year things could be different, at least for 100 lucky people living in the city that never sleeps.

According to a press release from Breckenridge Brewery, while they are known for making the holiday season lit with the help of their Christmas Ale, this year they want to take their love of the holidays a step further. In an effort to make a difference in the lives of New York residents, the brewery is looking to deliver holiday cheer in a brand new way.

In fact, Breckenridge Brewery is prepared to deliver Christmas trees to 100 residents of New York City, which means that not only do you get the tree, but they will deliver it to your door. (No more stuffing your tree on the subway or hauling it up what feels like 100s of stairs.)

To be entered for a chance to get your Christmas tree delivered to your door by Breckenridge Brewery, there are a few things you need to do. First up follow the brewery on their Instagram account @BreckBrew. From there, they want you to share a picture of your holiday prep including two hashtags that read, “#BreckSharestheSeason and #sweepstakes.” The picture could be of you decorating for the holidays, drinking one of the breweries Christmas Ales or even wrapping presents with loved ones. As long as it’s clear you are preparing for the holidays, Breckenridge Brewery wants to see your pictures.

The sweepstakes to win a tree, including delivery, kicks off on Nov. 6 and runs through the end of November. And if you are chosen to win a free Christmas tree the brewery will deliver it to your door in the first two weeks of December.

When we asked the brewery why they would want to help New Yorkers celebrate Christmas with trees delivered to their door, Todd Usry, the president of Breckenridge Brewery was quick to explain that even though they are located in Colorado, they understand what it takes to celebrate the holidays and they want to share the cheer with others.

According to Usry, “This year, in addition to serving up Christmas Ale, we want to continue delivering cheer, but in a new way. After learning of the struggles that many New Yorkers face during the holidays when trying to get a Christmas tree home without owning a car, we were excited to step in and deliver this holiday season. Hopefully with this offer, New Yorkers can spend less time stressing about lugging a tree down the street and more time sharing the season in good company, ideally with a Christmas Ale in hand.”

We are all for spreading cheer and making life easier for our fellow-man, so we definitely appreciate what Breckenridge Brewery is doing with their special holiday deliveries. And we can’t wait to see New Yorkers getting in on the holiday spirit with their pictures and hopefully a Christmas Ale or two.
