Häagen-Dazs reveals which ice cream consumers loved the most in 2019

In 2019, there were a lot of ice cream flavors to enjoy and yet, there was one clear winner, at least according to Häagen-Dazs. So which one was the leader of the pack (or the freezer)?

There are a lot of amazing ice cream flavors on the market and it feels like new delicious offerings are being released every day. But that isn’t stopping Häagen-Dazs from revealing which flavor consumers love the most. And seriously, it is a favorite for a lot of us.

It turns out that the king of the ice cream crown for Häagen-Dazs is Cookies and Cream. And I don’t know about you, but I am not even a little bit surprised by this. Not only has this long-running ice cream star been a fan favorite for years, but it just seems to work so well in a number of applications, from sundaes to ice cream sandwiches.

Of course, just because Cookies and Cream ended up at the top of the list, that doesn’t mean there were not some other exceptional flavors in the running. To round out the top five favorite ice cream flavors, Häagen-Dazs revealed that Vanilla was second, Dulce de Leche was third, Belgian Chocolate was fourth, and in fifth was Chocolate.

Having tried all five of the flavors in the top five, I have to admit that Häagen-Dazs has it right. All five of these flavors really are some of the best in the freezer, although we admit that their most searched for ice cream flavors were also near the top of our personal favorites list. (If your interested, the most searched flavors in order from one to five are Coffee, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Rum Raisin, Green Tea, and Strawberry.)

Personally, I think every one of these flavors is amazing and would gladly indulge in all of them at any time. In fact, the Green Tea and Belgian Chocolate are definitely at the top of my list of favorites.

Of course, there is another category of ice creams that we can’t forget to mention here – the Spirits Collection. This is a line of booze-infused ice creams that might just be our next guilty pleasure. Not only do they come in some delicious flavors, but given enough time, they could give Cookies and Cream a run for its money.

When I asked what inspired the Spirits Collection, Aaron Butterworth explained that, “The Spirits Collection was expertly crafted to offer new, extraordinary ways to indulge. When we launched this project, we wanted to select spirit + ice cream + ingredient combinations that would fit with our passion for creating rich and indulgent ice cream desserts.  In some cases, we took inspiration from our historical list of flavors, consumer “bring-back” requests and our employee requests.”

Honestly, I am just thrilled that they are giving us adult ice cream that we can enjoy in the comfort of our home (which means pajamas are approved). And having tried three of their Spirits line of ice cream products, I can assure you that there really is something for everyone.

From Cookies and Cream to the Spirits collection, there are plenty of reasons to love Häagen-Dazs. And if that means eating ice cream 365 days of the year, then we are okay with that.
