We have long been knowing McDonald’s doesn’t give us enough fries, but now we know how they pull off this trick!
Have you ever been digging into your McDonald’s bag for fries and, as full as they seemed, realize you are suddenly out of them? What gives? It was full before, but now there aren’t any left! Well, a McDonald’s employee has revealed how they do this. No, it’s not magic. It’s a lot more simple than that.
A McDonald’s employee went on Reddit (anonymously, of course) to reveal that they are instructed to pinch the box of fries as they pour them, so that it can get full faster, without actually packing the boxes to their full capacity. Tricky, tricky!
The Reddit user who spilled the beans, or fries, in this case, shares that they have been caught before. “I only had 1 customer call me out on it. He shook the fries out into his bag and poured them back into the fry carton himself and it only filled up half way, so I had to give him more fries. I was impressed and embarrassed,” they write.

The next time you go to McDonald’s, will you be giving your french fries a shake to be sure they are full all the way, and not just by the pinching trick? I would, except I order from the fast food restaurant through the drive-thru most of the time.
I’m not sure if any McDonald’s reps have commented on this. But if they have, I’m betting they denied this. And hey, I wouldn’t blame them. At least we are now all aware to double check we are getting the amount of fries we paid for, which isn’t expensive in the first place.
Speaking of fast food fries, which are your favorite? McDonald’s or another fast food location? I have to give my vote to Whataburger!
