Hot Tamales Peeps is the flavor no one asked for

SOUTHAMPTON, PA - APRIL 18: Marshmallow Peeps are seen on display at McCaffrey's Supermarket April 18, 2003 in Southampton, Pennsylvania. Just Born, the manufacturer of Marshmallow Peeps, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Marshmallow Peeps, and now produces more than one billion individual Peeps per year. Last Easter, more than 700 million Marshmallow Peeps and Bunnies were consumed by men, women, and children throughout the United States. Strange things people like to do with Marshmallow Peeps: eat them stale, microwave them, freeze them, roast them and use them as a pizza topping. Marshmallow Peeps and Bunnies come in five colors. The iconic Easter candy is about to get spicy! Should Easter even be spicy? Hot Tamales and Peeps seem to think so, but did anyone ask for it?

The news about this flavor and the photo (check it out below) of Hot Tamales Peeps quickly caught our attention. I mean, who wouldn’t give this candy a double take if they came across it on social media? We had to look carefully and be sure that this isn’t fake news, but nope, it’s true!

Hot Tamales and Peeps are joining forces to launch Hot Tamales Peeps. Sorry, we may be Guilty Eats, but there are some things that even we have to say no thank you to. But hey, at Guilty Eats, we’re also not here to judge. If this sounds like a candy you want to try, by all means go for it!

In fact, we are here to bring you all details about when and where you can find this…erm, unique treat.

From what Junk Food in the Trunk 3 shares, these will be releasing in Kroger and Kroger affiliated stores. However, the source is sure to say that they are not sure this is a store exclusive or if the launch will begin at Kroger. We’ll keep you posted!

You don’t have to wait long at all for this candy to launch. It has actually already been spotted at several locations. Hey, they are red in color, which is great for Valentine’s Day, I’ll give them that much. But if you are buying this for your sweetheart, I suggest having a back-up gift or treat in mind. Just in case.
