Oreos have been getting bigger over the years, and now with The Most Stuf Oreo, they’re serving up the maximum amount of cream. But is it too much?

Who doesn’t like an Oreo? Chocolate cookies sandwiched together with sweet vanilla cream, what more could you want? But as the years have gone by, clearly Oreos thought they needed to up their game because they’ve come out with cookies with more and more cream in the middle.

First, there was the Double Stuf Oreo with twice as much cream. When I discovered these as a kid, it was like all my dreams had come true. More frosting with my cookies? Yes, please! I’ve also never been the biggest fan of crunchy cookies so more cream kind of balanced everything out.

It wasn’t until this year that I discovered the Mega Stuf and The Most Stuf Oreos (we don’t talk about the Thins. They are an atrocity). I hadn’t tried them so when I saw that my local grocery store had The Most Stuf, I grabbed them as fast as I could and tried them once I got home (I do have some self-control).

The verdict: They aren’t as “stuffed” as the name makes you believe. To me, there’s only slightly more cream than the Double Stuf which makes me wonder what the Mega Stuf are like. The cookies are also not weirdly tall like the picture on the package makes it seem (Lies!!).

When you bite into them, the cream spreads out a bit which is delightful, but the ratio of cookie to cream is perfect. Ok, that’s not entirely true. The first one I ate: great, wonderful, perfect. The second one was less wonderful as the cream was beginning to be too much.

I never thought I’d say this but…it might be too much cream. I can hear the horrified gasps from here. This might be a case of too much of a good thing. With an Oreo, the balance between the cookie and cream is important and The Most Stuf Oreo cookie upsets that balance. Perhaps the Mega Stuf Oreo, which is one step down from The Most Stuf,  is the way to go.
