Thanks to Red Robin, there’s another chicken sandwich option coming your way

When it comes to chicken sandwiches, every ingredient counts. Red Robin is making sure you won’t forget this one.

One could argue there are too many chicken sandwiches available to the masses — it has become almost impossible to crown a winner among them all. And restaurants like Red Robin certainly want you to try to pick a winner.

In fact, making that claim might mean our favorite restaurants stop coming up with new ways to wake up our taste buds, and that’s definitely not what any fast food enthusiast wants — right?

In an effort to stand out amidst the ongoing fast food chicken sandwich craze, restaurants are putting their own tasty spins on an otherwise all-too-familiar menu item. And Red Robin is the latest to join the fray.

For a limited time at select locations, the chain will offer a brand-new chicken sandwich — the Zen Chicken Sandwich. Unless you have particularly unique preferences, this sandwich contains just about everything there is to love about a sandwich of this variety.

Between two halves of a traditional sesame seed bun, you’ll find:

  • Grilled chicken
  • Lettuce and bacon
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Avocado and pickles
  • A honey-miso sauce
  • Sweet and sour coleslaw

There’s the perfect combination of tenderness and crunch, not to mention the explosion of flavor that’s impossible to miss in every bite.

And a nice bonus: the crisp and crunch the condiments and toppings provide means you don’t need to fry the chicken to satisfy every craving. So it’s just a little bit healthier than your average crispy chicken option, too!

You’ll get your first chance to try the Zen Chicken Sandwich at participating Red Robin locations starting on January 27, 2020. The good news: “limited time” isn’t as limited as you’re expecting. You’ll have until April 19, 2020 to give it a try to let us know what you think.
