Thirsty Thursday: Breckenridge Brewery gave us a Resolution this month with their new ale
January is when many of us throw around the word resolution to discuss the changes we hope to make in our lives. But at Breckenridge Brewery, it’s more than just a word, it’s an ale.
Whenever a new year rolls around, many of us come up with a list of resolutions that we hope to stick with. From exercising more to drinking less (it is called dry January after all), there are any number of things we look to change about ourselves at the dawn of a new year. And for Breckenridge Brewery, January really is all about resolutions – Resolution Ale that is.
In honor of 2020 and a brand new decade (depending on who you talk to), Breckenridge Brewery introduced their newest addition to the beer lineup, Resolution Ale. And with its lower ABV and the addition of superfruits like Acai and Blueberry, this is one beer that actually lets you stick to those resolutions (hence the name). As an added bonus, it even has electrolytes included to keep you hydrated while drinking.
Luckily we had the chance to give this new ale a try, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. This fruit-forward ale is light and tasty, reminding us of some other favorites, but definitely standing out from the crowd.

And with it being Thirsty Thursday, it seemed only fitting that we honor Breckenridge Brewery’s Resolution Ale with a spotlight on the final Thursday of January 2020. Considering this is a beer that lives up to its own hype, we can’t help but want to raise a bottle to the sky and pretend like we are going to hit the gym tomorrow morning.
Seriously, I didn’t even bother with adding exercise to my resolutions list this year because I know better. But thanks to Resolution Ale, I won’t feel so bad grabbing a beer and enjoying a snack while watching a game or spending time with friends.
If you want to give Resolution Ale a try, now is your chance as it is available until April. This seasonal brew is exactly what we want to kickstart 2020, and it definitely leaves us wanting more.
Have you tried Resolution Ale from Breckenridge Brewery? If so, what did you think? Do you think more breweries should lower their ABV and maybe even add electrolytes? Tell us what you think in the comments.
